Pop up free cinema - yay!

On Friday, Gloria had been into Havant and that evening flashed these fliers admitting us to a free showing of a locally produced 30 minute film. On the promise of a short romantic film and being limited as to what I am currently able to do (I can walk now but I start slowing down after about fifty or so yards) we turned up to watch the Norton Brothers' film "The Day I Met You". We were ten minutes too late for the last showing yesterday but director Christopher Norton said if we came back he'd put on a final showing for us.
The library was nearby (due to Government cuts it soon won't be open on Saturdays) and we popped in there. We were back fifteen minutes later and I was holding a Search Engine Optimisation for Dummies book while the audience from the previous showing came out. The audience before comprised of a lady and three young teenagers - two girls and one boy. One of the girls walked past me saying that she didn't get it. Strange, I thought. Would this really have a complicated ending?
Gloria and I had the pop up free cinema to ourselves. It was entertaining enough. I did wonder what non-local audiences would make of the size of the burger buns when they went for a burger at the top of Portsdown Hill. If you ever see the film - that was a small burger. The whole thing was a great advert for the Portsmouth area. There's a good deal of fun to be had around here. Two adults on a date having non-offensive and quite respectable fun - even when they were drying their underwear off with the hand driers in the toilets.
A complicated ending did not arrive - it was very straightforward. Yes, an entertaining film. Well, I wish the Norton brothers great luck. I will keep checking their website to see what else they've got coming up.
