Hiya all. Sorry that I am not adding a photo to this blog post, the only one I could add...

I've had to change my working pattern, indeed my work, due to my wife's health. Having to leave my job (they could not help with changing my work hours) gives its own issues which I won't dwell on at this time.

Not for the first time, Gloria blacked out last week. To shorten a dramatic story, this was the first time she was also having fits - the first while I was on the telephone to the ambulance service. She was dead for a minute or two - at least she had an out of body experience.

It's a strange feeling sitting in the back of an ambulance while the sirens are going off. Another strange experience was seeing Casualty on television yesterday and noting how overly dramatic the medical staff are in the fictional Resus area of Holby City Hospital. The staff are quite calm in reality, trying to get a reaction from their patient with phrases such as, "Hello, Gloria...do you know where you are?" Initially, there was no response.

In just over a week's time there is an appointment with a neurologist. Yes, it all sucks. I'm starting to find a way through it all.

Harry,

It sounds like epilepsy, like what I have. Relax and let the doctor help you. All she may need is some medication. The longest seizure I ever had was for three days in a hospital, and they (the doctors, etc) decided not to stop it. I almost died, my heart almost gave out, and my brain almost shut down.....all in the name of science (?).

Hang in there Harry. My prayers are with you and your wife. Be strong and be there for her. If you need me, I will be here for you.

Oh, Harry. I'm sorry I haven't written sooner. My work scheduled changed recently as well, and I'm still getting acclimated. It's clear from all the other comments here that you are in good hands.

I'm sure Gloria is recovering well and the two of you have had some time to get more information about whats going on with her. Let her know that the guy that rides bikes in the States is thinking about her and hoping she is well.

I have an asthmatic bro ... the one who can cook, I know how tough it feels and really is to have to be lovingly conscious of someone's else ' wellness. Sometimes its staying up some 36-48 hrs and sitting in front of mindless doc/nurses who just want to see bills climb and paid.

No offense, its their bread.

I pray always for it to get easier, it did with age ... his 19 now.

Thank you Stephanie. I am a Christian myself and I am grateful for your prayers and thoughts. I am sorry for your brother's troubles.

And, yes, Matthew will still have friends here if he returns. As for what happened...there's not more that I would want to add. I am personal friends with one of the ladies that he offended. While that friendship is definitely lost to him he can still return to MyOpera.

Harry, I send my best prayers to you and Gloria. I have epilepsy and have had it since I was 4. I have struggled throughout my life and I can imagine the horror of what you are going through. Please let me know if she is okay and what they find. I only hope that she will be alright. Go to her Harry and take care of her. I will say more prayers for you and her. God-bless.
