Duxford airshow at the weekend.. the WWII one.
Fantastic time listening to the old spits and lancasters flying about.. even a B17!!. Awesome day out and absolutely fab weather.
Yesterday was the exact 25th anniversary of the attack on Goose Green, Falkland Islands. They had a special fly past from some of the aircraft used at the time and some commentary from people that were there. It all concluded with a minutes silence from the crowd with a helicopter fly past. It was a bit of a moment to think back and remember the lost from that war. Not just because I was nearly one of them, but a bit of guilt as it has been a long time since I thought of them myself.
I will get the pictures online as soon as I can.
I am back at work now, complete with fracture, a promise of light duties has been made, but funnily enough just 2 days back and I am being asked to carry printers about... they are so full of shit.
I have applied for a couple of other jobs, one in Mexico and the other back in Lanzarote so maybe it will not be for long.
