I would love to tell you that as I have been having a really hard time of it I have not been able to to update the blog.. err actually that would not be true.. just got back from another diving holiday in Lanzarote. Totally awesome time diving again with Safari diving.
Fantastic weather all week apart from the final day when it got a bit windy, but all in all a good 24 degree week.

Went to see Hot Fuzz the other night... that is one funny film.. what is it about someone drop kicking a granny that seems so funny? Shouldn't laugh really but I tell you to go see that film.
Work has been short again.. so we spent the day looking round a boat yard near Bristol at the different ideas for a liveaboard.. it can get quite expensive. Heading South down to see my mate John in Bournemouth we passed through the area I grew up in during the summers and had a lightening tour of the farm I used to work on and a look at my grans old farm house. It was a bit sad reliving old times.. but it was good to look back. Onwards through Dorset and we even managed to drive through Sydling where I used to live, hasn't changed from the sleepy little village it used to be. Still beautiful.
A godd time seeing John again, its been a few months, and then the long drive back eventually getting in around 1am this morning. All in all a good day out.
We get to see Imogen again at the weekend which will be good, funny but a week away seems a long time, to us aswell as her. She went on a Helicopter ride with her dad last week during the holidays and was absolutely over the moon with it, I can see a future pilot there, haven't managed to sort Lucy's flight out yet as the weather has been a bit shit, but I am sure it will come.

The, so far, pipedream of living on a canal barge gets one step closer tomorrow as we head off to view some boats in Bristol. We are looking at Widebeams as they can get to 12 feet wide which is much more of an acceptable living space than a 7 foot narrowboat. Due to the nature of the work I do I can live anywhere so mooring it would not be a problem, all we have to do is find tghe right boat at the right price and we are away.
Other news.. the RSI injury I sustained in Lanzarote turns out to be a bit more serious than first thought.. I have managed to chip a large piece of bone off my elbow that is floating about and occasionally touching a nerve. They have said its a fairly simple operation to have, unfortunatley because of its location ie next to the nerve there is also a 10% chance that I will loose the nerve to my right hand making it unable to bend.. and also a 6 month recovery period. This is not good as it puts me out of work for 6 months.. an option that is not really feasable.

Back off up to Manchester for the weekend. Mike is having a beach party at his new house on Saturday so it would be rude not to go, and we can combine it with a trip to see Star in Liverpool.
We should not go really, for some reason ever since I let the driving agency know that I am going back to my old job at some time in the future, the work has dried up. I managed to get one day this week. Its a bit worrying as we are off to Barcelona soon and the money is very tight..

Since my return from Lanzarote I have managed to install around 2 stone across my stomach.. I can no longer see my feet without a mirror..!!
Myself and Lucy have decided the only way forward is to join a Gym!!, luckily we have one 100 yards away across the road. Having nearly died of a heart attack walking across to it last night we have actually joined however seeing the look on the instructors face when after being shown around the place and having a quick pull on a few levers we decided we had had enough that day and went home he does not seem to think it will last long
