Down the memory lane - my 80's music

, ,

Hi, how was your day?

Sara's blog probably set my mind back to 80's, a seemingly meaningless phrase that I heard long time ago started playing at the back of my head like a mantra - hot dog, jumping frog, Albuquerque... Then standing on a packed train this evening glancing vacantly at a woman whose features looked like Jamie lee Curtis's suddenly reminded me of Julian Cope...

I thought I need to gt this out of system...

Here comes 2007 and we are back to work

新年明けましておめでとうございます!

Hi. Finally it's 2007. Did you have a nice holiday?

In the UK, this year's firework display (video thanks to dand1977) was better than ever!! We were eating soba (Japanese buckwheat noodle) while watching the display on BBC, but it lasted on and on...Here is a picture my son took over the tv. Just amazing set of colours.

Hi - Finally holiday cover is over and am in better shape mentally. (I might have gained a bit of weight, as I tend to over-eat when I am stressed).

I don't mind being busy at work as I like what I do. It is a lot healthier than having to kill time looking at the screen. It also get adrenaline flowing. The only snag is that I do not have the freedom to extend my working hours into evenings as I cannot run the house otherwise, I had to simply increase my productivity. Once I get into this mode, I tend to be more egocentric and let my fingers do the talking.

Christmas in the summer

Hi. The weather was terrible today, gusty winds and drizzle on and off all day. I needed to have emergency work done to our roof as it started to leak. It is not nice to worry about roof of all things. Past week I have seen a lot of snow visiting friends' blog in Canada and Greenland, so today I escaped to sunny climate in Australia! It is a wonder of My Opera world -you have a whole world under one roof! You can travel to wherever you like without leaving your living room. So if you are fed up with the cold, just look at Rice's blog, she seems to be enjoying wonderful weather. It looks really warm in Merbourne. Also you can find wonderful photographs in Australiani's blog, too. With the pictures on memory I read Nori san's blog, where I found some cool dancing tunes...

Hi, how was your day?

Today I felt like...a little bombs exploding inside me. But after visiting Dario's blog, I felt a bit warmer. Every now and then things make us realize what really matters.

Hi, how was your day?

I am not good at asking for a help, but today situations forced me to do so. I was on the phone for quite a lot, spoke to and got help from three guys, 6 ladies and one white knight with a shining armour. Homer: Doh! Problems started partly due to a bad weather and partly due to my lack of IT knowledge. I have a couple of other things that need to be sorted out soon, but I baked a cake instead. Only procrastinating... I need a good music to get started.

Hi, how was your day?

Countdown is about to start for Christmas.
As it has been so warm, it is still hard to believe that we only have a month till Christmas.
Anyway, I have added a new album in photo section today, titled South bank, London.
Please click the link to enjoy the photographs.

Nothing exciting really, but I have to post this so that I can go to bed.

I didn't think much of it when I heard it for the first time. Like, well, clever, but so what?
But it made me think...are there any hidden meanings? Well, there isn't (I think). It is just a clever word-play and so addictive. When you remember one phrase, you want to know more. So, it keeps coming back. The lyrics are meaningless and it also test your eyesight as you have to follow katakana on the screen to sing along (it is a good practise to remember katakana, too)

Does this song mean anything in another language???

Boys will be boys - triple bill!!

Hi.

How was your week? Today was a good day! Everything went so smoothly as my horoscope message (Sagittarius/Capricorn). Train came on time and arrived without delay (pretty rare, so put me in a good mood straight away). Work got done early as colleagues offered me support. People in the office are in a 'giving' mode, probably because Christmas is in sight. No arguments, no drama, nothing to stir emotion...and you hear a lot of laughter, saw a lot of smiles. Well it may not be exciting, but I really appreciated it. The only snag was rain, but then again I had an umbrella. :D
