Whatever your religion is, there is always a rule for proper outfit during a religious ceremony. But in order to know whats proper, you must first know what is improper. In our world today, where there is still fundamentalism, there is strictness in appropriateness of dress, especially for women. Churches in general despise those women who wear sleeveless, blouses with plunging necklines, or spaghetti-strap tops and shorts or miniskirtsbecause they can tempt men (of course, the priest or the religious celebrator), and temptation is a big no-no. Propriety follows religiosity.
You may ask, because it is a basic belief that God created men and women equaland naked, why not think that a dress is not important when one faces his or her Creator during a ceremony? But the religious leaders would argue (especially in Catholic sense) that the world of man needs a special rule, as our rationality dictates, specifically for women clothing. Well, they are right, and here are some tips to follow leaders:
(1) Since the 21st century is becoming busier and most women seem to have no time for fashion, you can wear the corporate style.
(2) Fashion is important, but for older women, a simple long sleeve, preferably white or yellow, and slacks is more appropriate to make you look younger.
(3) And to the teenagers, there is always an apt time to show your juvenile beauty; try to put a blouse that doesnt expose your body.
Remember, church style for women doesnt need to be trendy or sexy. Being liberal does not mean no rules.
