It's a dwarf planet, though. And really we have to think of what'es best for pluto. He's like the really smart kid in class. Yeah at first he was the only really smart kid in class, so we made him hang out with everyone else, even though we all knew he was "different." We started to find out there were more really smart kids around here. But we thought, "They're new, let's just put them in their own class." These other dwarf planets were loving the SHIT out of this special class made just for them. Everything fit right, the standards were set JUST for them, and it really helped them progress as planets (well, dwarf planets). Eventually we thought, "Hey, it might be better if we let pluto be with his own kind, right now, we're just holding him back." Of course, Pluto grew up with the regular planets, and made a lot of friends, so they were mad and wanted their friend to stay. So, to prevent drama, we let him stay. But soon Pluto became to mingle more and more with the dwarf planets, and it became obvious that's what HE wanted. It would be rather cruel to suck him into the planet class again for your own selfish needs.
