Pop02 is a 7" EP, which consists of 3 tracks, with library music reinterpreted by
Ich Wollte, Ich Könnte. This thematic piece of work is entitled Musique au mètre: A tribute to the electronic library music of the early 80's.
Ich Wollte, Ich Könnte uses the form of library music, which originally was intended for mere consumption, and turns it into something special, something totally opposed to mainstream entertainment. The artist appropriates this originally empty art form (which by many is even denied the name of art) and infuses it with meaning and purpose and turns it into an elitist form of expression.
Musically this release is where minimal wave and krautrock come together and are brought to you with a dark folk mood.
This piece of Elitist Pop Culture is produced as a 7" vinyl record, limited to 158 copies in a hand printed and hand numbered sleeve.
