Via Nocturna presents its first own release called: Serpentoria - "Withering Hopes". The music on the CD is a 45 minute collection of cold sound passages drawing the listeners into a dark land with their hypnotizing melancholy. The artist used mainly keyboards and some additional drums, as well as occassional sentimental bells.

Although music generated by Serpentoria might be tiring, as it's based on just one instrument, it may be interesting enough for you to sit back and relax, depending on your mood.
Some themes just end too fast. The tracks made me feel as if there was some culmination to come, something more attractive and memorable, but nothing like that actually happened. It's really a pity, as the record leaves us craving for something more.

The whole album is monotonous, leading us into a melancholical, brooding mood, thanks to the abovementioned methods. For the fans of the genre it's a must-listen, for those looking for new experiences - not really.

波蘭厰牌Via Nocturna的首張出品自然要提攜本土團體咯，Serpentoria的這張專輯也是其首張唱片，不過Dark Ambient這類風格音樂一般都不是我的菜，不過還好，我還能完整的把這張唱片聼完，縂比一般的強力電子發出的高頻噪聲折磨我的耳朵要好點。

立陶宛老牌团体暌违15年之后在本土厂牌Dangus的出品，Dangus这个厂牌一直致力于波罗的海沿岸国家优秀本土乐团的发掘，当然还是以立陶宛本土为基础，Ženklas X就是老帮瓜团体了，不过时隔15年说暌违好像也太长了点，应该就象介绍里说的一样，该叫Reborn了，波罗的海三小国的优秀本土民谣团体层出不穷，不过这类有着鲜明特色的民谣得慢慢听才听出点味来，不过在炎热的夏天偶尔听听还是不错，多听几次会有点味道，不过让我再多听偶也吃不消的，哈。

The North Country, projected for release in the spring of 2006, derives much inspiration from the mythology and traditions of the past, including original and traditional material, and even a reworking of an Asmodeus X song - the apocalyptic 'Wolf in the Sky'.

Together, they look toward a world of wholeness and tradition. Yet this past is not something far away that is over and done with, but is rather the mythic past of the beginning time, that place of might and magic where the worlds were first created and where they can still be created anew.

Acoustic and ambient soundscapes converge forming a background for Karlsdottir’s haunting and melodic lyrics. With special guest appearances by Ian Read (Fire+Ice), Annabel Lee (Blood Axis), Jim Chisholm (Rune Gild Master and author of True Hearth), Spike the Percussionist (Astrogenic Hallucinauting), and Johnathan Kramm (Industrial Orchestra).

North Country promises to add a new dimension to the rich tapestry of Neo-Folk, emphasizing the feminine, the mythical, and the magical.

Verdandi，由Alice Karlsdóttir和Paul Fredric两人联手的音乐组合，于2003年秋创建。Karlsdóttir，"Magic of the Norse Goddesses" 的作者，Rune-Gild大师，长久以来专研Norse民间传说、神话和魔法的学者，Karlsdóttir之前只曾做过传统民间音乐的现场演唱，直到Ian Read邀请她为Fire + Ice的专辑Birdking里的"Lady of the Vanir"献声，那段经历影响到她去开始自己的音乐计划，随后便与Paul Fredric结识，后者因他的Darkwave组合Asmodeus X而被人所知。两人迅速磨合了音乐上的协作，并立即开始了他们的首张唱片The North Country的音乐创作，并在2006年5月发行，唱片的封套设计来自于Karlsdóttir的绘画作品，这张唱片也有不少客座音乐人共同参与：Ian Read (Fire and Ice)，Anabel Lee (Blood Axis)， Jim Chisholm (Ring of Troth)， Spike the Percussionist (Astrogenic Hallucinauting)， Johnathan Kramm (Industrial Orchestra)。

This is the first collaboration between this two dark folk – martial bands.

This full album , wich come in a nice and fine digipack included 5 CAWATANA's unreleased tracks in a in martial / neoclassical / dark ambient / military pop vein, but experimental, an excursion into styles. STORM OF CAPRICORN included 5 unreleased songs in the classic military, ambient style. This band is growing up into the scene , also after the first album “ Retours des Tranchees “, an exellent debut album.

The SOC track list includes a cover version of the Kate’s Bush song Cloudbusting and a collaboration with voices in the final song written by Kutna Hora’s frontman Gabriel Carbone , Claustro.

An album full of emotions and melancholic , A curious mixture but a poetic journey. A tribute and a collaboration at the same time !!. The music is impossible for me to describe, so please listen this album and enjoy the best side of this two bands.

又是一张2支Dark Folk团体在南美阿根廷厂牌Twilight Records出品的拼盘，说到阿根廷扯句题外话，刚才的世界杯小组赛阿根廷和塞黑，阿根廷导演了本次世界杯的最大屠杀，阿根廷6比0痛宰最后一次以塞黑名义出征的塞黑队，尤其是第二个进球，绝对是本届世界杯最经典进球，10球以上一脚传递，最后雷霆一击破门，极具想象力和视觉冲击力。回到正题，匈牙利团体Cawatana无论在以前的Promo还是在正式唱片中给人的印象都是演绎款款深情且旋律性优美的新民谣作品，没想到在这张Split的出演彻底颠覆我对Cawatana的印象，套用前句，极具想象力和听觉冲击力；而法国团体Storm of Capricorn的出演显然没有Cawatana来的出彩，但依然不可否认Storm of Capricorn的优秀,Cloudbusting就非常出色，不过还是感觉其中的女声换成浑厚的男声大概更棒。
