He walked this earth jubilantly
‘A golden monkey’, Mum said happily
His eyes, oh his eyes, were so bright
His heart so warm and purely kind

He grew up to be a handsome man
Buddies found in him a good friend
Carrying with him a passionate flame
of love for life and not for fame

He loved reading, traveling and jogging
And flowers and music, among other things
Life was more beautiful with his charming ways
And less stressful with his smiling face

He loved a girl and was loved in return
A love so young and free with no little concern
Caring, sharing and understanding
Forever together as one, they might think

Forever never stays, God took him away
God doesn’t care that life isn’t always fair
Free of want and pain, he rests peacefully
Leaving a world behind now so stormy.
