BANDWIDTH SPEED TEST

Checking the Bandwidth Download and Upload Speed is always interesting.
A real tester for the line locally would be best but expensive.
I use the site http://www.speedtest.net they have a really good test procedure and details.
You can select a site to use to test nearby or across the World.
They recently updated the site. I think this past Monday. They redesigned the page and made better graphics, and a speed meter that can read up to 100Mbps!
The old page went up to 20-50Mbps.
Just wait until the page loads or you might hit the wrong start button.
The Test button is in the center where it says, "Begin Test" or "Recommended Server".
The other Start buttons which are larger to the Top and Side are advertisements or Registry Cleaners which are kind of misleading for the test
Don't Click On Them
But Overall speedtest.net seems to be the best site to use for repeated download tests from many different servers around the world.
Look for a smooth progress bar and steady speedometer needle movement, which shows its working cleanly without stuttering or jitters along the way.
I also use http://www.bandwidthplace.com but its a little more simple in design.
And I think all these sites use "Adobe's Flash" for the testing page to get speed results.
