Gorgeous view AND painting. I love paintings with views from a window or doorway. You captured it well. Unfortunately, I don't have Opera browser so the painting is cut in half.

Just looked at it in your album to see the whole thing. Love it.

holdowicz-claude 6. February 2009, 16:26

Pam  That's kind to visit me! Which browser do you use? I'm curious to see if there's a problem, thanks.

PainterWoman 6. February 2009, 16:56

I'm using IE browser. There's no problem with you, it's just the IE browser does it to me. It happens on Zetorres' blog too. On several of his posts with photos, the photos are cut in half. It's only in posts that this seems to happen and it only started happening after changes in Opera. When I had the Opera browser I could see all photos in posts correctly.

I had Opera browser for a few days only. It worked fine for a day, then suddenly 50% of photos in my albums disappeared. In their place were gray squares with the title of the picture. All avatars were gone too. I wrote for help but all that was said was that it was a problem with My Opera. I had downloaded the latest version in December around Christmas. A few days later, I removed it.

The actual photo of the scene looks fine...not cut in half. It's only the painting cut in half.

holdowicz-claude 6. February 2009, 17:32

The problem of the disappeared pictures can be also because of their file's names. Like those kind of names: "my image.jpg" with a blank space...
Me I'm using Firefox without any problem. My IE doesn't want to work. I also have the browser Flock and Google Chrome which is working fine!

PainterWoman 6. February 2009, 18:42

Hmmmm....well I'm not sure what the file names were but I had loaded them all in the same. Oh well. I'll keep the IE browser for the time being.

"The island became internationally famous in the 19th century when Alexandre Dumas used it as a setting for The Count of Monte Cristo, published to widespread acclaim in 1844. In the book, the "Count" (actually the commoner Edmond Dantès) and his mentor, Abbé Faria, were both imprisoned on If."

Do you have a balcony, Kri?
Thank you for your appreciation, I'm glad you like it!

qlue 11. February 2009, 12:43

The images being 'cut in half' is because IE doesn't know how to resize images automatically. The cure is for the person who's blog page it is to resize the image manually before posting it. Unfortunately, if you're posting from a phone, you can't

holdowicz-claude 11. February 2009, 13:27

Ho I see now, thank you Aadil!

princessofdeath 12. February 2009, 13:24

Again.. amazing! I wish I had a talent for art.. too bad I'm just average.. heck maybe even below average when it comes to drawing and painting.

holdowicz-claude 12. February 2009, 13:49

Yes there's a beginning for all  Thanks my friend!

ninabritney 12. February 2009, 19:33

wow, it's so beautiful. i will love to stand there and stare at the sea

holdowicz-claude 12. February 2009, 19:40

Now you have to keep the window closed, there's a strong and cold wind :ko: So you can't stay!
Thank you Nina
How much time do you have to go to the nearest beach from your home?

ninabritney 13. February 2009, 17:42

i think the nearest beach is about 1 hour away, i live next to motorway so it's good to get to the place i want to quickly.

holdowicz-claude 13. February 2009, 19:40

Nice! 1 hour is not very long! Are the beaches there nice, interesting, beautiful and warm in summer?

ninabritney 13. February 2009, 20:13

yeah it's ok, but the weather is not clean and sky blue awww i wish i lived in a more exotic country
