Not much to say

but... I'll try....

I'm a Tree Hugger!

, ,

We are blessed with such magnificent nature all around us.
Often we take this for granted, especially when we live in huge cities.
We forget that it's the small things that matter most.

Like the fluffy clouds above us...
the tree that blossoms every year...
the subtle breeze that cools us on a hot day...

When I think of one specific thing in nature that I adore, it has to be the tree that stands outside my bedroom window.
When Spring rolls by, it carries the most magnificent purple blossoms that frangrances my room with the sweetest scent. And when the wind blows through the branches - delicate little purple blossoms rain down.

It's these simple pleasures of life that we find in nature that inspire and evokes the sweetest emotions, memories and poetic words.

So, this is my poem to my favourite tree...

I'M A TREE HUGGER!

I want to sit high up in the tree,
High - where only I can reach.
And the only company I have is the playful breeze,
and the tiny purple blossoms that fall from the tree.

I want to sit high up in the tree,
High - where the rest of the world cannot see.
And all around me seems peaceful and calm,
and the lull of a bird sings me to sleep.

I want to sit high up in the tree,
High - where all that surrounds me are blossoms
and leaves and wood under my feet.
and Spring's scent fills the heated air.

Yes, high up in the tree where Spring returns-
each and every year!

I'm a Tree Hugger, are you?

Let's take care of the nature and environment around us because it keeps us alive and creates the best poetry

The Invention Tag

,

Thanks for tagging me, Marcus.

The Rules are as follows.....

Simply list 4 things you wish to have been invented, and why, and 4 things you wish had never been invented, and why. You can make these things as crazy, illogical and irrational as you like. Then, tag 4 people to do the same, and so forth.

I wish, I wish.... the following was invented....

1) Electricity in a Can: Wouldn't it be great if you needed some electricity (perhaps you're on the road and need to charge your phone's battery), all you do is pull out your bit of electricity in a can P:

2) Adjustable Heels: Now that's what I call versatile shoes P: Press a button and the heels get a bit higher, press another buttom, you're comfortable again.

3) An ALL-IN-ONE-COLOUR Lipstick: Now that would be really amazing. One lipstick that adjusts it's colour to what you need it to be.... red, pink, brown, and so on and so on P:

4) A Look-a-Like Robot: Last, but certainly not least, I'd like a robot that looks like me and thinks like me to an extend (wouldn't want it to be able to take over my life P: ), that I can send to work in place :D (Yeah, dream on P: )

So, who is the idiot that came up with the following.....?

1) Watches and Clocks: I could certainly do without it (my boss could too)...

2) Chocolate: Yep, I know... this is a tough one P: Why are the good things always bad? P:

3) The Office: Why couldn't they have started out by saying "Ok, everyone works from home and comes in once a month to show what they've done" P: I'll still send my "work-robot" in my place even then(see point number 4 above on wishful inventions)

4) Microwaves: I use it, but that doesn't mean I like it P: I just always imagine it exploding... :eyes:

Now, Tag-you're-it to the following 4 lucky people ... drum-roll please....

1) Troels
2) Isabel
3) Lilliana
4) shadowk

Wys My Die Plek / Show Me The Place

, , ,

WYS MY DIE PLEK

Eens, toe jy myne was -
Vroeër, voor jou liefde vir my getaan het,
Vroeër, toe jy myne was.
Kyk, dis dieselfde; die silwer see

Eens, toe jy myne was -
Vroeër, toe jy myne was.
Kyk, dis dieselfde; die hemel, blou,
Lag soos voorheen op my en op jou;

Eens, toe jy myne was -
Vroeër, toe ons harte so veel gehoop het,
Vroeër, toe jy myne was.
Kyk, dis dieselfde! Net jy nie. Vra,

SHOW ME THE PLACE

Show me the place where we stood side by side,
Once, when you were mine -
Earlier, before your love for me died,
Earlier, when you were mine.
Look, it's the same, the silver sea
Shines in the sun's rays, just as before
It once shined, a welcoming
For our love that endured and everything enhanced.

Show me the place where we knelt together,
Once, when you were mine -
Earlier, when one soul possessed us,
Earlier, when you were mine.
Look, it's the same, the sky, so blue,
Smiles just as before on me and on you,
It continues to shine as a welcoming
For our love that endures and everything enhances.

Show me the place where we use to walk,
Once, when you were mine -
Earlier, when our hearts hoped so much,
Earlier, when you were mine.
Look, it's the same! Except for you. Ask,
Which one of us has the most to bear ?
You, who has forgotten - or me, that has to pay
For my love that endures and all enhances ?

Autumn Goodbyes

,

Just as a sparkling jewel,
the sun hangs over the sky.
Casting it's glowing rays over the trees,
and amongst the yellowed autumn leaves.

And for a moment,
I swear I could see you dry your crying eyes.

For I heard you say:
"Love letters written in the sky,
Autumn leaves of red and coloured dyes.
Your whisper lingers even after love has died.
Autumn remains even after our silent goodbyes".

And before I could say a single word,
You turned around and left my side.
And beneath trees of red and coloured dyes,
you said your final goodbyes.

Your words still ring above the trees,
they whisper upon the rustling leaves,
It echoes your words, as I hear it say:

"Love letters written in the sky,
Autumn leaves of red and coloured dyes.
Your whisper lingers even after love has died.
Autumn remains even after our silent goodbyes".
