Not much to say

but... I'll try....

THE WANDERING GYPSY

,

I've given my love to a man with no home,
a wandering gypsy with music in his heart.
He roames both near and far,
not knowing that my heart follows his every path.

He passed this way one day,
and ever since, my heart has found a new resting place.
And day after day I silently wait,
just to see my wandering gypsy boy's face.
The day I'll hear his music play,
and once again I'll hear my heart beat to the rhythm of his voice.

My wandering gypsy boy travels near and far,
not knowing that my heart travels by his side.
I've given my heart as my gypsy's eternal guide.
For I've given my love to a man with no home,
a wandering gypsy who travels both near and far.

Soon the day will come when the trodden road looses it's lustre,
and the wide world has no more to show.
I wait for that day when my heart will lead my gypsy back to it's home.
For side by side, my heart and my gypsy will come home.

Great poem as usually. Sad and happy at the same time, and yet it also manages to create an interesting atmosphere....tell me when your ready to publish a "book"

Hey there,
Yes, I like the atmosphere of the poem too....
it's very eerie and magical

I am seriously thinking of compiling a book.
But, I've decided that my first book will have an African Theme...
because I don't know if the world really needs another book filled with only soppy, romantic poems P:

We'll see how it goes

Thanks for your comment

Hi Melissa,
Another wonderful poem Melissa  You can imagine her "watching over him" as he goes about his travels. Him not knowing about it, and maybe wondering if anybody is thinking about him.

You should compile a book of your works, that would be awesome to see

Regards,
Marcus

Nice work… Again!

A book with an African theme is excellent idea.

For the meantime, why don’t you think about to create an e-Book (in pdf format) with a collection of your best blog-published poems for your opera friends?

Hi guys,

Thank you very much for all your kind comments
Yes, I think an e-Book filled with all my Opera poems is a great idea...
an e-Book to show my gratitude for all the inspiration, support and visits I've received over this time.
Brilliant idea

Thank you again :D

Great work!

You are skilled for sure.

And the drawing is just splendid, it goes along just perfectly.

Let me guess: you've recently gone through "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho, haven't you? p:

P.S: if you haven't read it yet, i strongly recommend you to.

I read this poem and it really spoke to me. I KNOW this man. I LOVE this man... of course, my wanderer is in America.

How sad to know we will never truly share a life, but I feel so happy to know that I was permitted inside his life for a moment or two.

Thank you for a lovely lovely poem!

Hi Igor, Nicolas, Karen, Susanne and Dillon...

Thank you very much for dropping by, I love reading your comments

Nicolas, I haven't read "The Alchemist" yet, but interestingly, someone has also told me that the poem reminds them of the book...
So, I'm really curious now... I have to read the book
Oh yes... get the Caravan P:

Hi Karen, Thanks for your comment. I guess everyone has a "wandering gypsy" at some point in their lives.
I'm glad that it touched you, it's the best comment I can get

Touching to the bottom of the heart, ur poem clinches the mind. Curiousity , anxity, mistry, i can imagind the depth in sparkling eyes. How nice to watch people being so sensitive, sensible and giving rise to quality of expression. Hav a pleasant day ! Aniruddha from "INCREDIBLE INDIA"
