What is Hope ?

As long as we have hope,
we have direction,
the energy to move,
and the map to move by.
We have a hundred alternatives,
a thousand paths and infinity of dreams.
Hopeful, we are halfway to where we want to go;
Hopeless, we are lost forever.

So here comes the question: What is Hope?
1.Hope is the anticipation of an event or an occurrence.
2.Hope is the dream of a waking man.
3.Hope is one of the prime differences between successful people and those who can only see failure. Successful people have hope because they can clearly see their goals. People who only see failure have no hope because they see no light, they set no goals, and they see nothing accomplished.
4.You find hope in the darkest of days, and focus in the brightest. I do not judge the universe.
5.Hope is finding the positive in a negative world.
6.Hope is both the earliest and the most indispensable virtue inherent in the state of being alive. If life is to be sustained hope must remain, even where confidence is wounded, trust impaired.
7.Hope is like a road in the country; there was never a road, but when many people walk on it, the road comes into existence.
8.Hope, deceitful as it is, serves at least to lead us to the end of our lives by an agreeable route.
9.Hope is passion for what is possible.
10.Hope is the only bee that makes honey without flowers.
These are one of the few reasons that wouldn't stop one hoping, because as we know future belongs to those who give the next generation reason for hope.
