I <3 Hungary

, ,

what a week... I think I should say a terrible week...
my trip to Hungary was pretty ok, we took care of what we needed to do, that's pretty what we have planned so we couldn't complain.
We arrived at Kalosca on Tuesday and we had pretty good dinner with our Hungarian colleagues, in a restaurant near the Paprika Museum there...

We pretty much drove around the Danube river area the next two days to have meeting with our customers, as always we got some good news and some bad news. That's life I guess. I particularly like the Krapfengulasch (carp goulasch soup) at the Danube river, spicy but good.

The night before we drove back to Austria my boss had some serious chest pain in the hotel, then it's gone the next morning. His doctor told him to go to the hospital after we got back, he got an heart surgery shortly after his arrival, we were all shock since we didn't notice anything wrong while we were driving (almost for 6 hours).
Thanks god he's getting better now.

Well, keep our <3 beating.

Czech again...

It's always nice to be home after a couple of days of travelling... My trip to Czech Republic was quite ok, the driving part was a bit too much (over 1000km/600miles for 2 days...). I always like the place where our Czech partner lives, the castle, the vineyard and the wine route there on the hills are beautiful.

also the palace there in the city.

We started quite early on Thursday in order to get to Brno on time...I didn't really expect that it would be so cold in the morning there (around 10°C!)... damn.
The food there was pretty good though

Bramborák (kind of potato pancakes with onion, ham, potatoes etc...)

and chicken beans salad...

We will go to see the Triathon event (Ironman) here today if the weather is ok... and then to a barbecue party hold by Helena for her new born baby. should be a fun weekend.

Transmission Festival 08 is called off...

, , , ...

was going to that festival last weekend :bummer:

"Due to lower than expected presales and budgetary concerns, the organisors of Transmission Festival have made the decision to call off the event this year.

We are truly sorry to those of you who have bought tickets, as well as all those who were ready to buy tickets in the coming days. Our ticketing agency Ö-Ticket has confirmed that ticket holders will get 100% refund on their festival tickets and have advised that people contact the point of purchase directly in order to obtain this."

could have been a cool festival in the fortress in Kufstein:

pretty good week foodwise... first a great barbecue party organised by our secretary who's retiring this week, then some good Bosnian food with our Hungarian colleagues who visited us earlier this week. Again joined some friends for the seafood plate a couple of days ago (picture above). This afternoon I found out that the restaurant nearby was going to have a seafood night.
Gawd, time for diet tomorrow.

You hit me once, I hit you back

cooles Lied von Florence & the Machine.

Croatia

, , , ...

finally I don't need to do any travel this week and can enjoy the summer weather here. I love the sunny weather even it could get too hot some time (like 34 - 35°C), I got a sunburn after spending an afternoon at the lake on Sunday
We went to Croatia last Thursday because of some urgent matters, luckily it turned out to be quite ok. We made a few stops at Zagreb, then Ljubljana in Slovenia (for some grocery shopping there). Somehow I like to travel a lot even it's only for work.

The Euro 2004 Championship in Klagenfurt is finally over, thanks god it wasn't as crazy as the regional government has expected (or exaggerated in fact!). No more football here.
I went to the last match between Croatia and Poland, the atmosphere was pretty good though.

Another week of travel... I drove all the way from here to Czech Republic on Monday for a few meetings, came back home on Tuesday, then went to an exhibition/fair in Munich on Thursday and Friday. Well not much time for myself really... But I was able to take a short break in Mikunov near the Czech-Austrian border, which was quite nice

Of course as always I took some pics of the food I've had there...

Now everyone's crazy about the Euro 2008 here, too bad that the weather hasn't been that nice... We went to the fanzone in the city but it's rained quite often, what a shame. The atmosphere in the stadium here was really good when we went to the opening game in Klagenfurt between Poland and Germany though. We'll go again to the last game here between Croatia and Poland, hope the weather will be better.

Euro 2008 - Europa Meisterschaft

, , ,

finally the Euro 2008 is going to begin in an hour time, gawd everyone's so excited here. The German and Polish fans are already here, the fanzones are full of fans. Luckily the weather got much better today, it was still raining quite a lot yesterday. I just hope that the weather will be even better tomorrow, since we'll go to see the Germany Vs Poland game in the new stadium tomorrow night. I'm soooooo excited.

Oh yeah after three weeks of waiting my new Full HD TV finally arrived at the warehouse yesterday. I picked it up right away and did some tuning last night with the whole system. It looks pretty good.

Nope, my new tv isn't for the Euro football games, it's more or less for the movies which we so much love to watch at home.

Remember to watch tomorrow game here to see if I'm on tv
