National Day

, , , ...

OK I'm giving Pete another chance... I wonder if he's going to make it this time?

Work's so boring today but in an hour I'm going to leave the office and do some grocery shopping. A friend of mine has done service for my car (new brake, spark plug, motor oil, winter tyre etc. etc.) so it's pretty winter-fit now. I'm thinking about going on a shopping trip in Italy tomorrow (since it's completely dead here because of the National Day). Either to Udine or Triest or Venice, depends on the traffic of course, I'm quite sure that thousands of Austrians will go down there for the holiday. I saw a pair of boots the other day which I really want to buy, as I can recall it should be a bit cheaper in Italy. Winter's coming up so it's the right time to go for it now!

I saw the movie "Trade" the other day, it's awful to see people exploiting children in that way. This problem doesn't only exist in Mexico as the movie depicts, but all over the world. How can people treat children like a commodity and exchange it for money, what's wrong with this world?

My weekend won't be a long one though, despite of the holiday tomorrow, since my boss and I will go to Belgium on Sunday and visit a few of our customers there next week. It's not going to be a relaxing trip I'm sure...

Abschied

well, another farewell party today 'cos our accountant will be giving birth to a baby next month. Such a shame, we've been working quite well together. She's made Kärntner Ritschert, kind of local stew with lentils, beans, smoked pork and various vegetables, that was quite yummy

and a relative light dessert - yogurt cream wildberries

I guess I've been talking too much about what I ate in the last couple of weeks... guess food is an important of my life

Again I bought the ticket for Babyshambles' concert in Graz next January, they'll probably cancel the concert again because of the problems that Pete has, but still, it's a Saturday, I think it's nice to spend a Saturday night in Graz.

Lately I've been listening to Eddie Vedder's "OST Into the Wild" a lot, a great album, Eddie's a genius:

there's those thinking more or less less is more
but if less is more how you're keeping score?
Means for every point you make
your level drops
kinda like its starting from the top
you can't do that...

society, you're a crazy breed
I hope you're not lonely without me
society, crazy and deep
I hope you're not lonely without me

society, have mercy on me
I hope you're not angry if I disagree
society, crazy and deep
I hope you're not lonely without me
