My Life From The Basics To Romance

So recently I've been contacted by my ex wanting to meet up. At first I was surprised and hesitant to accept his offer. As I though it over I wondered if he asked cause he still wanted something between us, does he still love me or is it just a lets be friends kinda date. I haven't heard from or seen him in over a year and all of the sudden he wants to meet up? I will admit that I may still have feelings for him, but they are all long and gone..or so I thought. I told him that I couldn't that day cause I was packing up for Minnesota and asked if he would like to the next day. As I thought he would, he said yes. Getting into the details, he asked if a movie at his house would be okay. I mean I do kind of still have have feelings for him that I'm trying to get rid of, so movies at his house, just me and him...not the way to go right? Well my mind wasn't working that minute and said yes. Oh boy was I in for an intimate night. So I invited a girlfriend of mine to accompany me so it wasn't so awkward and sexual. I got all dolled up and ready to leave when he texted me and said, that night wouldn't work.....seriously? We haven't talked for over a year and still having feelings for you, you decide it wouldn't work cause your parents have surprisingly popped up? I mean I get it and all, but if you actually cared or wanted this "friends" thing to work out, you would go through all means to make it happen. I don't know maybe I'm jumping to confusions and assuming things without consulting him, but what girl would want to get so overly worked a cancellation? This girl right here. I guess it just means that I still do like or maybe even love him. It wouldn't be surprising to me cause to be honest, he was my first true love. The one that I actually loved enough to do anything for. But I know good things must come to an end. It's been over a week since then, and I still haven't heard from him. There are so many things that I would like to ask him and at the end the only thing I needed is closure. If there's one thing I have learned about love,is that great things come to those who wait. I've got a pretty busy schedule tomorrow, so with this quote I leave you guys.
