Hungry Ghost's Daily Diet (TM)

Pot lid is back in my life. Very pleased about this. Couldn't find it two days ago, was v. worried in case it'd eloped with the spoon and dish in some unwholesome threesome. But nope, it was just hiding behind the shelve, and is now back with the pot. Pot and Lid. They go together, and never should they be parted. It is the law.

Do not buy cheap kettles with weak elements and lids that don't open, even if they kettle is made of stainless steel and looks purdy. It takes too long for the water to boil. THis is what they've done at work and now, we wait for an eternity and a half before preparing our hot beverage of choice. No wonder I rush to BSG instead and buy my coffee. How will I ever save money this way? How indeed?

Returns on investment have been miserable lately. Time will tell whether things will turn around. I am hopeful that they will in the long-term, but you never know do you? Things can change in the twinkling of an eye. Oooh. There's an excuse for a picture of Mr. Craig, he does have twinkly blue eyes. In any case, I shall continue diversifying evermore. This, again, is the law.

Was talking to a friend a few days ago who had a run-in with a group of A-listers aka the beautiful people at high school who never grew up. I told the friend that it was unfortunate, but true. People of this ilk love and care only for themselves, and nobody else, not even the little lap-dogs they carry around and pretend to love. The A is not for alpha, but for Asshole. He nodded his head miserably and will hopefully know better for the future, but I rather doubt it.

The weekend is here for most people, but not for me. I head to Squamish early tomorrow morning for a series of fervent group hugs in which the Shark and I will be crossing our hands across our chests in a gesture that shows disdain for such activities. However, I have been promised dinner at Tojo's if I drive carefully, and skip the last session.

Now to go forage for my lunch.
