Hungry Ghost's Daily Diet (TM)

The winter that is. For today is the 21st, the shortest day of the year after which the days start becoming longer again.

This makes me happy. Almost giddy with anticipation except that I must remain calm for I'm faced with many a twitchy vein this morning which I am to fill with radioactive peptides. And there must be no spillage else the RSO will come swooping down with her survey meter and crown me on the left temple good and hard. The only crown I want is the crown of cynicism, although this year, it sits uneasily - there you go DWE, your chance to wrest it away.

But where was I? Say "nowhere in particular" and I curse you and your progeny to a place with no weather - that is to say, a place in eternal twilight and between Summer and Winter, but no Spring nor Fall.

Today, the winter ends and we start the trek to Spring. There are some who are unhappy with this state of affairs - that the days are lengthening again, not that I am giddy or it could be that too depending on who you speak. There are also some who will insist with the small-mindedness of bourgeousie hobgoblins that today marks the start of winter. Well, all I can say is, one can't account for the tastes and proclivities of others. And one doesn't really give a rat's arse whether it's the start or end of the winter. The point is, there will be more light starting tomorrow. And to think I got here without a single tablet of Vitamin D.

Why, I think I see my first snowdrop already.

Monday was a particularly good day for that was the day I officially became an Industry Slut. I told my boss this, and he said, "Go for it, revel in your harlotness". You see, I've now added company # 4 to the roster of people supplying me with drug. This one isn't supplying money...yet. But they will will if the evil Dr. K and I (Dr. K is the evil one, I'm merely the innocent henchman what follows orders) play our cards right.

And for the record as of yesterday, 3 votes were registered. Didn't I say that it would take one month for each vote to be counted? So far, I'm right on track here.

Then the evening ended at a second (for me) showing of Cafe de Flore (much more relaxing now that I knew the ending) in the presence of the most genial company even if they were a bit tense at times. Fake licorice too eaten only for nutritional purposes.
