Accept and tarik nafas loh...

Suckday

,

In which I agree that thingy, what's his name, Jeffrey does have a point about Thursdays...

Guiser - that's who I'm thinking of. He calls Thursdays Suckday because it's the nadir of the week for him. Not sure why. but I can understand this....

A Bridget Jones sort of a day. Bit tired, all that biking around in the rain is so tiring. Need a milky coffee and choccy croissant, not healthy breakfast of eggs and beans. So much to do at the office as well - putting things into motion for the future and so forth despite all the waves of impending doom. So resilient when I put my mind to it.

However, one must rise up to the occasion.

But before I start - Happy Thanksgiving to those of you who celebrate it! Just remember, there are certain things you should not do if you want to remain on the guest list....Read all about it here.

An extract:

Her violent impulse is not uncommon at family holiday gatherings. Indeed, there are those who claim that there exists, in the archives of The Saturday Evening Post, a Norman Rockwell painting that is entitled “Throttling Granny,” in which a New England farmer has one calloused hand on the throat of a gray-haired lady whose grandchildren cheer him on.

Also, must remember that it's DWA's birthday today - happy greetings and all that. Aren't you glad you went out last night? Yes, public thanks without the add-on "biatch" is what I want. Credit where it's due etc etc.

To be done today:
  1. Excoriate GW with copy of statement so I am reimbursed correctly
  2. Pull together a BS abstract for me, me me.
  3. Chivvy RN into submitting his own abstract, but with me as the senior author. Yesh.
  4. Try not to indulge in Shark behaviour today. V. Unseemly.
  5. Double Excoriate RS - I don't care if JJ has swine flu and back spasms. Not my problem.
  6. Must. Get. To. Images.
  7. Call PJB to send him special wishes and remind him of 'Wouldn't it be good'
  8. Put down one succinct paragraph about PKM2
  9. Speak with G in ORD as well before it gets too late in the day
  10. Set up the week's surgeries sooner rather than later
  11. Prepare for 'After the Quake'
  12. Prepare for Romeo and Juliette
  13. Let the negotiations between 'my people' and 'MD's people' continue - scheduling. So difficult.
