Hungry Ghost's Daily Diet (TM)

Dec 1 2009. Fire one more person, but hire two. Yes!

Time II

, ,

In which timing is of the essence...

Today, despite all of Opera's attempts to tell me otherwise, is November 1st, 2300h

Waste of time. For far too long. Oh yes. Very much so a waste of time, and not in a good way. However, steps have been taken to limit the damage. I rationalized matters for too long, and didn't have the willpower to do what I should have done. Well, it's done now, although some time will pass before the new equilibrium is reached. However, the sooner one sets a fire to fight a fire, the faster scorched earth policy is achieved.

Well-spent, time spent. Portland. An excellent weekend with much that was thoroughly enjoyable. I'm glad that the trip was taken although I was a bit skeptical at first. The whole thing exceeded expectations by far, and unlike the paragraph before, was time not wasted.

Waste of time II. Too often, I succumbed and allowed myself to check statistics, grids and locations, like having a little gps of my own attached to my finger. In this case, it's not as easy to fight fire with fire because plastic would melt and then there'd be smelly black smoke in my apartment and life (again). Nope, it'll be a matter of willpower this time. After it's been two years or more since I've had a Twix bar - notwithstanding the temptations strewn in my pathway by the Sunny one - so maybe I'll just do a switch. Eat Twix bars in exchange for a shift in willpower to a new challenge. Boleh-tak? Memang boleh.

Warp, Time. From the 60s to the 00s and back again. Numerous times. Each time more reminiscent of Red Rum...Red Rum...Red Rum... Bwahhhh wahhhh wahhhhhhhh..... Yup. It was an interesting shift of perception, and all by simply pressing a button.

Precious, Time is, and I mustn't waste it. Must not waste. Must. Not. Waste. Which is to say, let 2009 play out, recover fully and start over when 100% again. New goals, new aspirations, less travel and one month on the islands with a log fire.

Precious and fragile things
Need special handling
My God what have we done to You?

We always try to share
The tenderest of care
Now look what we have put You through...

Things get damaged
Things get broken
I thought we'd manage
But words left unspoken
Left us so brittle
There was so little left to give

Angels with silver wings
Shouldn't know suffering
I wish I could take the pain for You

If God has a master plan
That only He understands
I hope it's Your eyes He's seeing through

Things get damaged
Things get broken
I thought we'd manage
But words left unspoken
Left us so brittle
There was so little left to give

I pray You learn to trust
Have faith in both of us
And keep room in Your heart for two

Things get damaged
Things get broken
I thought we'd manage
But words left unspoken
Left us so brittle
There was so little left to give
