Here comes a singing rock

Another video I shot from yesterday's day-trip to Xiang Shan (Fragrance Hills).

By the way, does it sound all right to call the singing thing a rock? What about calling it about a stone? I checked a dictionary, but got no hints.

Here comes a guessing game (not for the Chinese)Photos of my day-trip to Xiang Shan

this one i think was staged like that, but there is such a thing as singing rocks. the way that they sing, is through the wind. they have holes, not as big as that hole, but smaller holes, and the wind coming through the holes make them sound like they are singing.

but as for your rock, i think that one was made that way, and it is NOT natural at all.

Yes, it looks natural and its surrounding rocks are just like it. It doesn't stand out as unique from its surround. Maybe I should have shot its surrounding for you to see.

and I know singing rocks. There is a Chinese folk song that starts with "A beautiful legend has it that exquisite stones can sing... "

it is not legend. but they r a legend in their own rights. and i do very much believe that Chinese have a song about them.

true, maybe had u done that, my original comment would have been different.
