Wohnbau Spittelau
13 images
Spittelau Viadukt - a residential project by Zaha Hadid (laureate of the Pritzker Prize 2004 - also called the "Nobel Prize in architecture") in Spittelauer Lände, Vienna, Austria directly at Donaukanal. Completed in 2005 with total costs of 9,8 mio EUR. Very photogenic but also inadequately expensive building. Stayed almost empty for several years. Now accomodates office spaces as well as flats inhabited mostly by students of architecture (as it seems). Apparently the tough times of this remarkable project are over for now, although the financial aspects remain questionable.
