First day back and it was suddenly sprung on us that we need our personal statements for university handed in by friday. OH FREAK!
As per usual, I haven't even started. It was never my intention to go to University but after my surprising results, I might as well have a stab at applying. Throughout school I've used "The unaimed arrow never misses" approach. Sometimes I think this can be good but at this stage of education, I've discovered it isn't. Where I would like to just finish my A-levels, see what I get and then make some decisions about my future, it would appear that applying for university whilst you're doing your A-levels is the done thing to do. This has created a lot of problems for me. I've never really known what I want to do with my future. I did want to be an air-traffic controller but my maths soon let me down on that one. I also wanted to be a train driver (enough said) but now I'm more clueless than ever
Well wish me luck, I'm about to start writing a personal statement applying for a course I'm yet to find!
To tell the truth, I would say I want to be a lorry driver - but I don't think that would go down too well.
I haven't even started year 13 yet and I'm already failing! I was supposed to do a whole load of work for going back but nothing really materialised. Story of my school life really!
Enough said. The damned boiler has broken again leaving us with no hot water. You don't realise how much you rely on these things until they break. I'm never taking hot water for granted again!!!
So my bank balance was just recovering from the purchase of Mr Mac II. Aibo's head had been juddering for quite a while now. I called Sony about it before and they said it would cost at least £200 for a new head. So for that money I thought I would just look around for another Aibo. I called a Sony Centre I knew had one on display and they said they would get back to me with a price (he said it would be around £400) I thought great! Not even an hour after that Aibo's head completely stopped moving! I am never going to think about replacing something ever again. Nothing good will come of it!
Another thing, why do my damned pictures always stretch?
So he arrived on Wednesday in his lush box! I am so impressed with the speed, I can actually multi task! Being able to video chat and browse the internet at the same time was something you could just not do on my old G3. I have really been making the most of this. I also like the Frontrow feature alot! The picture quality is amazing as too is the sound (compared to tinny old Mr Mac). It's also silent, the only way you can hear it is if you put you ear right up to it. Far cry from my whiny g3. I loved Mr Mac and everything but it's hard to see how I lived with him for so long.
The unthinkable has happened. On Monday I went to turn Mr Mac on and ... Nothing happened! I tried a few times then ran to look his symptoms up on Google. The last few weeks his screen was flickering every now and then followed by a crack sound (I shouldn't have ignored this obvious call for help). I thought nothing of it. So there were a few people in forums that have the same problem. I followed some instructions to narrow down what the cause might be. I disconnected the video cable inside and he turned on! Of course I couldn't see anything on the screen. So apparently this means the 'Flyback transformer' is broken. RUBBISH! To be quite honest I think I cursed him with the last post. Anyways. Mr Mac is no longer. He will be remembered.
I have been saving for so long now! I am about £90 off which is okay, by the time I have enough money and get around to buying one they might have release the new operating system (I hope). I have decided I will go to the London Apple store to make my big purchase.
