Comebacks and then some

Well, I was supposed to announce my comeback publicly but then I noticed that a lot of people were making their comebacks themselves, so I decided to let the "cool thing" die down for now and make my LiveJournal comeback on the third of June instead.
Right, so here I go rambling about everything my little heart desires.
Formula 1
Qualifying was amazing. Michael Schumacher's lap was just mindblowing. It's nice to see Taku in the front row but I would've preferred Jenson up there.
The race was simply stunning, it was no Monaco, but it had its moments. It was particularly amusing to see Schumi get caught up in the traffic every time he would be in turn one, the pit exit. He almost always gets taken out when someone comes out of the pits.
I feel sad for the McLarens. Nothing seems to be going right for them this season. I thought qualifying was promising for them, so was the first few laps. They would've mixed things up if their engines didn't blow up.
Speaking of blow ups, Taku's blow up was amusing. The Honda blow ups are just so spectacular, you wouldn't mind watching it on replay. Anyway, that was his fault in my opinion. He could've finished second but he just had to make a maniacal lunge into turn one, clipping Rubens' barge board and taking out his front wing. I agree with Rubens when he said that Taku would've overtaken him anyway cos he was much faster but he shouldn't have done it on that lap.
Fisico was great this weekend, starting last, he managed to finish sixth. That just shows Sauber's comeback, 2001's a benchmark they're trying to break.
Another driver that impressed this weekend is Jaguar's Christian Klien. He showed the same grit Jenson showed three years ago at Belgium (I think), banging wheels with Jarno and Michael. Anyway, Christian wasn't impressed that he was racing against Juan Pablo Montoya, he just got his head down and raced on. Shame he couldn't compete with the Williams too much. Good news for him is that he's going to be with Jaguar til 2006. (not sure about this)
Computers
Yeah, Max crashed on Thursday just when I was about to back up my files. How's that for luck? So we took him to hp for repairs. They're still diagnosing what's wrong, guy said it was most probably the hard disk, I'm hoping that's not it, and they'll let us know on the second. I really hope it's not the hard disk cos those fuckers are expensive pieces of shit, you'd really be better off buying a new laptop.
That said, I'm now contemplating whether I should get:
1. Notebook computer
a. one with a dual OS (Linux and Windows perhaps)
b. A Powerbook G4
c. An iBook G4
d. A Ferrari 3000LMI
and
2. Desktop computer
a. that new hp system that goes cheap but has great specs, but I'll be running a dual OS on it too.
b. A Mac (iMac G4 or an old eMac)
It'll most probably be 1a cos Macs are expensive fuckers too. A dual OS cos I'm getting pretty annoyed with Microsoft's constant shortcomings. 2a too, for the same reasons.
So I've been using my old desktop, which after 3 years, I've decided to name Combantrin, after all the crashes and virii it's been through, it's still alive and kicking, albeit multiple hardware changes. It took me a day to get it back to today's working standards (ie virus definition updates, Windows updates...) so after just a day of losing a computer, I'm back online thanks to my resourcefulness. Haha.
Things to get
I've been talking about possibly getting new computers, but there are other things I'm contemplating on getting. That includes original video games. The first original video game I've bought is EA Sports' FIFA Football 2004. I've been having so much fun with it, I initially wanted to get the companion Total Club Manager 2004, but a recent trip to the software store shows me a new footy game, Euro 2004. Now I'm stuck if I should get TCM or Euro, cos I could live on just FIFA Football 2004, but I'm not quite satisfied with it, hence the need for TCM, at the same time, Euro 2004 should boast some new features for the game, not to mention better faces. Haha. So I'll be researching on those for now. Oh and money isn't really an issue since I've saved (and earned from betting) enough to buy both, it's just that I don't think I should blow all my cash on video games because I'm also thinking of getting those bongos for myself. I didn't meet my parents' Math cut-off grade of a C to get those bongos, so I might have to get them for myself. Now if I buy one video game, I can afford the bongos, with quite a handsome amount to spare. If I get both, I'd be short by about 500 for the bongos. I might just postpone these purchases until I get enough money, but boredom just might get the better of me.
The last bit
Ah, it was good to write down all my thoughts again. I missed it.
