I am from Norway, but I am half Austrian so i'll tell you about my two cultures:)
My grandma, grandpa and my father is from Austria.
Lets start with Austria.
Austria is a small country hidden in the mountains in west European.
Their known for skiing in the alps.
Cakes i make for christmas;)
1 Mooncake
2 Cookieman
3 Gingerbread
4 sandcookies
Those are my favorit cookies I make then with my mum and sister every winter:D its a tradition
Norwegian celebrations.
The Christmas hoilyday.
I celebraite christmas even tho I am not christian:P its more like an norwegian tradition now.
On Christmas we dress with pretty cloths. We buy trees put them into our house and put christmas pressents under the tree its cosy. Its always snow outside the 24th demsember, 24th desember is the christmas day. In america they celebrate it 25th desmeber. Every christmas i go skiing give out presents to friends and family:) Christmas is my favorit time of the year. We eat our food late at night at christmas around 18:00 - 20: 00 , in norway its commen to eat usely at 14:00 - 16: 00.
With my family we eat (pinnekjøtt) what means meatsticks. It might sound cheap or not that good,but its delicious. Its salty with lots of meat on sticks. You can have potaous , saus and vegetables to it.
Easter.
I also celebrate easter the 7th Saturday. Then we get a whole egg of candy our parents hide it around the house and sometimes in the garden if its sunny. We don't dress in anything ,but some parents dress like a rabbit and share out candyeggs for the children:) On easter we also eat good food ,but usely we eat turky on easter. Its commen to go on the mountain on easter in norway, but I go to my grandmother she lives on the country named (Karmøy).
17th May
On 17th may we dress up in something called a (bunad). I have some pictures of them if you scroll up again.
We do eat good food on 17th may aswell:P i eat steak. We go to the city at 08:00 and watch the children go in train luckly I go on middle school so i don't have to anymore <3:). But i still go to the city to buy some stuff . People from many contrys shows up to sell stuffs its lovely:D and nice.
After watched the train og children and had some fun with my friends. I go home and celebrate with my family:)
