we shouldn’t be too harsh. The Beats Solos do have a great deal going for them, and in the right circumstances we can see why one might come away from listening to them obtaining enjoyed the experience. beats by dr.dre The design, for a start, is a hit story; the matt finish makes the Solos feel like £130 value of headphones should, and looks great.
There’s a decent amount of padding on the headband and earpads, making the Beats Solos comfortable to wear for long intervals, unless you have a large enough head for the pressure being too much. beats by dre The sliding size-adjustment for the headband has a solid, mechanical feel to it, and locks into place securely. We found which the articulated swivel arrangement which fixes the earcups to the headband gave a good degree of freedom, Beats By Dre Studio so you can move the Beats Solos around with your head a fair bit and still have a good match.
I used these headphones a few times a week for about 18 months before the headband started to crack. This is probably because i’d have one cup off my ear, twisting the headband. Monster generously told her i would replace my sample review units well out of warranty, so I give their customer service a thumbs up. Parts are also available in the US to fix just a broken part. beats by dre Overall durability seems average, they should last most people some three years at least.
Overall I think these are good headphones, quite ideal for their target market. I’m not sure about value for capital, but for the sound quality, noise reduction, and style i’m sure they will be appreciated by many. As for the reality of my own experience and view; these are now the best headphones I’ve ever owned, and I take note on a very wide spectrum of music genres. The audio quality (discussed in better detail above) is worth any superlatives thrown at it. beats by dre The comfort is outstanding. The construction is top notch. Little touches like being able to temporarily mute audio by pressing a discrete button to the side of one phone (the stylized ‘b’ logo) is amazing. The extra cable to turn Beats into a completely functional and huge quality two-way headset for the iphone was a masterful effect.
