Graphic design and marketing innovation are endless business challenges. The inboxes and mailrooms of most companies, large and small, are inundated with communications, many of which are both unattractive and irrelevant to the recipient even today. The cause of this situation? Many communication designs and content are dictated by the personal preferences of organizational executives rather than on marketing research and current design principles. Today, quality marketing research and communications design are well within the reach of even the smallest business. It is my goal to share resources and ideas pushing true innovation forward. Everyday I amazed to find how easy it is to build my innovation toolbox with free or very low cost resources that I can then use to fuel the next communications piece I develop.
Will sharing these resources with others change the face of graphic design marketing innovation? Doubtful. But in reflecting upon the messages in my inbox this morning, I feel that it certainly won't hurt!
Have I been guilty of bad marketing communications design? Absolutely. I do not live in Utopia, so it is inevitable.
It is for all of these reasons that I invite dialog and sharing.
