A couple of great NEW Photos!

I found a couple of great images this weekend! I decided to take a ride Saturday morning and I found a small once a year flea market at a local Vikings club. I was the first person in line to get in the door and as I looked around, I was kind of bummed out with the quality of the items offered for sale, but buried way in the back of the hall was a dealer that looked like he might have some antiques, so I worked my way over to him.
Boy was I glad I stopped at that flea market! The dealer had all kinds of small stuff in show cases on his tables, and in one of those showcases were two tintypes of American Indians! WOW what a find I thought. I calmly asked the dealer (although my heart was racing) how much he wanted for the tintype photos. He gave me a price which might have sent the average photo collector packing, but after a little haggling I purchased them.
The two tintype photos are beautiful and quite rare too. The tintypes are reminiscent of the work done by Frank Albert Rinehart who was an American artist famous for his drawings, paintings, and photographs depicting Native American personalities and scenes, especially the leaders and members of the delegations who attended the 1898 Trans-Mississippi and International Exposition in Omaha. (info from another website).
One of the American Indians appears to be holding a rather large 45 pistol and the other is holding a peace pipe. Both are wrapped in beautiful hand made blankets, and both are decked out to the max.
I have placed them for sale on my website. The website is all about Vintage Photography so check them out if you get a chance. If anyone knows what tribe these two American Indians are from I would really like to know. If you have any info, please contact me through my webform on my site
