The World Of Digital Games

Of all the games getting the HD re-release treatment, Prince of Persia: Sands of Times definitely one of the most deserving. It was one of the most highly acclaimed games of the previous generation and disappointingly did not see the sales to go with it. So withal HD release on the PS3, now more people can get a chance to play an even better version of a truly amazing title. You play as the Prince, a young Prince of Persia that has released the Sands of Time.

Everything and everyone that he knows has been transformed into a sand beast. So the Prince and Farah must navigate through the numerous traps and puzzles to reach the Hourglass and correct his mistake. The story is a straightforward one but the cut scenes and dialogues with the Prince and Farah are very nicely done.

The two will bicker back and forth and the dialogue feels funny while also being natural. But as good the characters are, the game play is what steals the show. It is the same platforming and combat that you have come to expect from the series, with the Dagger of Time quickly becoming your best friend. Either by using it to collect the sand from enemies or to rewind time to correct your mistakes.

And now the game is brought to life in a beautiful60 frames per second, which makes everything just flow that much better. You will move through the intricate levels, and solve the puzzles with an ease that feels absolutely perfect. It does the impossible and makes the game even smoother to play. The combatant the plat forming really has never been better. Plus all this is happening with some great graphics.

The HD really helps the game by making the levels feel all that more alive. The sand flows all around you with great detail. The game was already one of the best looking, with the incredible art direction. The HD just helps bring more life to the already amazing world. And the game has been adapted to being able to be played in 3D, which brings you even more into the world of the Prince.

Mixed in with the addition of trophies foreplay value and you have a great release of an all time classic. I have read about people experiencing game freezing and other bugs, but I have not had any problems myself. If you were unfortunate enough to miss out on this game the first time it was released, this is a great way to play an already all time classic.
