Paul Grant, when he pulled off the iphone 5 jailbreak, he uploaded images of his iPhone 5 running the application known as Cydia. The obvious question in anybody’s mind would be: Why Cydia? A smartphone needs to be jail broken if you want it to perform functions that aren’t’ allowed by its operating system, in this case it’s the iOS6. Cydia is an app that allows you to access other apps that have been declared unauthorised by Apple. Obviously, Cydia is not available on the Apple App Store so running it on your iPhone 5 is the best way to show your phone is jail broken.
