Living AT UK

Today is the first day for the new academic year for my postgraduate study at UK. I've attened lectures and met my classmates. Quite a lot Britishes in our class and also students from same country as me- China, students from Thailand, South Korea, Nigeria, America and Gana:) It is quite amazing to study in such a dymanic classroom, of I forgot, our lecturer comes from German:p However, as a non-native English speaker, i found it a little bit difficult to understand the different accents. I guess i will getting used to it with time.
I've got heating in my room today!! Its such a great news!!! God knows how cold it is in England, and last week, i had no heating in my room, so i had to sleep with two quits. The food is quite expensive here, especially if you decide to eat in restaurant! That will probably cost your one week's living expenses. I went to London last Saturday and had lunch with my old classmates in a Chinese restaurant in China Town. Four ordinary dishes cost us 55pounds including service fee! Back in China, it won't cost you even 5 pounds and it would be more delicious!!!
I've signed up volunteer group of my university online yesterday and I hope there's something I can do to make my stay in the UK more meaningful. Right, time for cooking dinner! I'll keep you posted:)
A few pics about my school, london, and me:)
