My OperaAre these really progressive times?

I'm usually not huge on reading the newspaper but I do appreciate it on my tea breaks every now and again. It is really relaxing - particularly if you had an emotionally aggravating day.
Contrary to everyone else at work, I'm not all up to date "thus" far with technology (or so I like to pretend). At least I don't devote my breaks texting away on a cell phone.
Hence, if someone flaunts one of their new online reads with me (such as my friend Oleg did to everyone with his "Classic Clawfoot Tubs" blog yesterday), I can not help but think of how it all works. These thoughts consume my mind often - especially when doing my daily exercising in the morning.
As mind boggling as it all is, I sometimes think about todays youth. We are currently by far the most chronically overweight population the planet has ever before seen and to be truthful - this scares me.
I think individuals are very quickly forgetting that the ideal place for humans to be is out enjoying mother nature. People are meant to pluck fruits and vegetables off of plants, smell fresh flowers, and look at the stars during the night, yet I don't think that has been very prevalent for over a generation now.
That is exactly why I am heading outdoors for a walk (after I publish this rant)
