nedjmek 30. November 2008, 17:04

ok, am on it..

Jarka 30. November 2008, 17:09

thanks  this is really nice of you ...the first positive reaction to this post

Lorenzo Celsi 30. November 2008, 18:17

What happened to the kid?

Jarka 30. November 2008, 18:23

well ... he has Amniotic band syndrome..he was born with it but now he´s the happiest little man on the world because he has big supportive family and his mommy, daddy brothers and sisters take care of him and love him very very much! ...you can find out more - just click on the picture...they have beautyful blog! -I´m following it for a month now and all the time I´m impatiently waiting for new updates

Lorenzo Celsi 30. November 2008, 18:33

My niece had a broken arm when she was born and I can't imagine how bad it was for the parents of that little boy. One thing then, it does not make me feel like praying.

Jarka 30. November 2008, 18:47

why not? he´s gonna need our prayers because there´s one surgery in front of him ... and I want him to be well ...so I´ll pray

Lorenzo Celsi 30. November 2008, 18:56

Do you want to discuss about religion? Anyway, you are praying the same God who made the boy live that way. From here it sounds a little illogical.

Christine writes:

Hi Jajinka--- I must say that your post on Dennis made me smile--- big. You are so right that we love him to pieces. Today I have been going around our house taking very short candid videos of our family and I will post the video later. I appreciate all the prayers for our family and especially Dennis! Can I add you to my bloglist?

Jarka 30. November 2008, 19:10

to Christine:

of course you can add me to your blog list ...but I´m not sure if I deserve such a honour  - really . ..my blog is about nothing - most of the time  ...but if you want so - I´ll be pleased!:wink:

to Lorenzo: ...I can´t say why our Lord let him to be born this way...but I believe that it was his intention. His story caught attention of someone and that person told about him to his family who adopted him...that was Gods intention, his great plan...now we can´t say what´s gonna happen in the future but He knows it and all he do is for our best. So I know that Dennis´ family doesn´t have to worry because all what´s happening now is happening for a very good reason. ...that´s why I can sleep in peace in spite of all the horrors which are to be seen all around the world, I know He´s with me and it makes me feel confident - like I said : "peace is gazing at the stars with the knowledge that you know their Creator "

but, no, I don´t want to talk about religion - I accept your belief...but ...

Lorenzo Celsi 30. November 2008, 19:51

So you think God changes his plan to make the boy suffer for his whole life because you pray him/her/it? Did I say illogical?

Looking at things there are two only logical options:
1. there isn't any god and shit happens.
2. God exist and he/she/it is bad.

In case 1. prayers are useless, in case 2. God probably laughs at you.

Christine writes:

Hi Lorenzo, I can see how you can look at our precious Dennis and think that there must not be a God. But I can assure you that GOd makes no mistakes and that He is very real. Dennis because of the way that he was born has touched so many lives that would not have otherwise been touched--- including my whole family. We have been forver changed now with a love for each and every person born who may not appear normal to society. But what is normal---- I can look at so many other people who appear normal who are without feelings, without sympathy for precious people like my son, who lust after material things and live their life without meaning. These people are far worse off than my son, who is learning that life is precious and not to be taken for granted. Come visit my blog sometime---- I'd love it!
With all my heart, I believe that Dennis is not suffering.
Hope you have a wonderful week!
God bless,

Jarka 30. November 2008, 20:15

to lorenzo:

or you are absolutely wrong and from your human point of view we are all absolutely incapable to understand His plan...and there´s no such thing as "time" for God so at the very begining , at the moment of "birth of our universe" (I don´t know what´s the newest theory of that P: ) he already knew that I´ll be praying and I´ll be thinking of Dennis every day before going to sleep and in that very first moment his plan was made and he gave us the power of doing our own decisions because He believes us...that´s why MAYBE He let this happen that´s why I´m writing this ...maybe you are right - HE´S LAUGHING AT ME - because my explanation of his plan has to be ridicculous (as well as my English  -and I´m happy to make him laugh - it´s at least a little bit of joy after all the sorrow what humanity me included causes to Him) but still he KNEW, KNOWS and IS GOING TO KNOW what´s gonna happen and he´s doing it difficult for us - so that we have to prove our faith ...I´m not making much sens right now (according to my English and the fact that I´m exhausted after this long weekend -you know first snow etc. )but still I know - there´s no way how I could explain it - that He exists (one of the proofs of the existence of Almighty God are the results of my A-levels P: )...and there are many more significant signs (but I doubt that He has ever done bigger mirracle than my A-level results  )

Lorenzo Celsi 30. November 2008, 20:27

@Christine:
I just wish I could do anything for Dennis himself, the little human being that he is. I don't mind of people being touched or God's master plan.
My apologies if I hurt you somehow.

@jajinka1:
I know discussing about faith is pointless because faith is irrational by definition. If any faith makes your life better that's fine with me, besides I guess world would be a better place with less people doing weird things in name of nonsense gods.

Jarka 30. November 2008, 20:32

no, it´s ok...I accept your personal ...how to say..."opinion" (I had to open the dictionary to find the right word P: - the proof of my poor vocabulary - I should do something with it  )
I wish you will experience the same feeling as me, one day ...I wish that there was no need of this conversation...I had the similar one with my friend who seemed not to understand what´s all that post about) ...hey people wake up  - I´m only joking - it´s nearly my bed time
...I wish ... :o: that´s my secret wish for you but I´m not gonna "tell" it aloud because it mighn not become true P: ...I just wish you met God one day - he´s all around you will see, just close your eyes and open your heart (and mind the walls - I don´t want you to hurt yourself) ...oh no...never mind...this sounds like some kind of "propaganda" - I hate that...just take the best of my words and throw away the uncomprehensible "bla bla"

Jarka 30. November 2008, 21:02

I wish you didn´t edit your comments after publishing them because then I have no idea that you did write something else and I usually don´t see it
well yes, faith is something irrational for those who don´t have it (do not take this personally  )...and I also wish that people in general didn´t do weird things - it´s not always the matter of faith...but I know what you mean...can I have a question - it has nothing to do with our previous discussion...do you know if the PEACE LIGHT from BETHLEHEM comes to your town or not? -I´m just asking because I took it as something certain...and today I learned that it´s not ... :o:

Lorenzo Celsi 30. November 2008, 21:09

Are you talking to me?
What is the PEACE LIGHT from BETHLEHEM?

Right now the only "peace light" that shines over Bethlehem is the laser rangefinder of some israeli tank and peace comes after the boom.

Jarka 30. November 2008, 21:13

ah...that´s really interesting you don´t know! ...(again don´t take it personally) ...it´s the light which is carried by scouts from Bethlehem to the whole world- it´s supposed to bring us all together...and it´s amazing that the first candle is light in Bethlehem and than the same flame is spread worldwide...but not all the countries are involved yet...it should be 58 european countries, some african countries and also USA...I was just wondering if all the people know about it - and I just learned that not... -thanks for your answer!

Lorenzo Celsi 30. November 2008, 21:23

You seem to believe that PEACE LIGHT from BETHLEHEM is important stuff. I find it very hilarious considering that Palestine is a war zone and people living in Bethlehem need peace much more than me. It is hilarious because the war in Palestine is mostly about faith in some of the said nonsense Gods that make people suffer for his/her/it plan.

Just in case you wonder what I mean with "hilarious", it is like the Jew shops that sell toilet paper already cut in pieces so people don't have to "work" during the Shabbat.

Jarka 30. November 2008, 21:29

yeah...but that light brings at least a little peace to them - last few years there was an agreement that the combatts would stop for those days so the candle could be light...that´s pretty amazing to me!

Martin 1. December 2008, 16:25

letmo som to tu precital.....
ja len ze sa teraz citim blbo za to co som napisal o denisovi, ale tak to bolo taka spontanna reakcia ze "fuj, co to ma z okom".....
okej, asi treba najpr citat a rozmyslat a az potom pisat...
sorry jemu aj tebe.....

to Lorenzo: vsak nikto ti nekaze verit v boha, ked nechces nemusis....
ani sa mi len nechce to prekladat....

jarka: ja ta strasne obdivujem ako si stojis za svojim proti tym jeho "logickym" kecom

(toto cháp ako tichú podporu tvojich myslienok co su tu hore napisane )

Jarka 1. December 2008, 16:31

please please - write in English - it shouldn´t be problem for you (you are better in it than me  )
this blog is supposed to be for everyone from all around the world and it´s not fair (and not even polite) to write to my friends and write it in Slovak language because they can´t understand...so please, lets keep this conversation comprehensible for everyone  thanks

Martin 1. December 2008, 16:58

meeeeeeeeeeeeeh..... first five lines were meant to be only for you my dear, so I won´t translate them as the others don not know what are they about... and the rest:

to Lorenzo: you don´t have to believe in god, no one forces you to do it, but you doesn´t have to be mean just because you don´t believe and think you are right... how can you with certainity tell that there is no god? I know, we too, we can´t prove that there is one, but... While we get up early on Sundays and go to church, you can sit at your place and laught at us if you want, I actually do not care.... but I don´t like your certainty, your "logical" reasoning that there is no god. Only god knows if there is a god  and if He is not there, well, we fooled ourselves, but no one can tell, that we wasted our time, when we prayed for others, and tried to live according to his commandements that Moses brought us carved in stone... Because living according to gods will is living in a good way, living life of love, understanding and kindness...
Whooops, I did´n mean to get dragged to this  but it happened....

to jarka: you have got my full support for your ideas.... I admire you so much for your patience when trying to explain to the "man of reason/science" why you, "man of faith", believe in god

i should have written woman of faith, but that would have spoiled the metaphor

Jarka 1. December 2008, 17:07

oh...thanks...that´s so beautyfuly written

Lorenzo Celsi 1. December 2008, 18:53

It is so sad actually.
First of all I don't think to be mean only because I point out the nonsense in your crap (and actually lame) metaphysics.

Lets make an example:
God has got a plan for everything and we can't understand his plan.
Then we have to pray God when shit happens.
What are the prayers for?
Are we traying to convince God to change his/her/its plan?
If so, it means God's plan is wrong, which leads us to the idea of a God that makes mistakes we need to correct.
Otherwise prayers don't make sense because everything that will happen, regardless our prayers, is part of God's perfect plan.

I will give you something else to think of: the protestant reform, among the other things, introduced the idea that man's salvation comes only from the Grace of God, that is pre-defined as part of God's plan and you can't change it whatever you do in your life. This originated as reaction to the catholic tradition of the sin that can be "payed-balanced" by a good action, which at the time of Luther lead the Church to sell the "forgiving" in exchange of money.
Now as homework you meditate on the logical consequence of both ideas, salvation as pre-determined "destiny" and salvation through good behavior. Of course I remember you that God has got a plan for everything.

Like I said, this stuff would be fun if people weren't actually dieing because of it.

Jarka 1. December 2008, 19:37

at first I have to say (I´m not sure if I understood you properly) that I don´t believe that my sins can be "balanced" by good things we do. Each sin we did was done and nothing´s gonna make it disappear (except God´s love )...and I don´t believe that the salvation is predetermined - each of us has a power to make his own decisions - so we are the "creators" of our own " destiny"-we can live according to God´s commandements or not...and all our actions (good ones as well as mistakes) will be than evaluated by our Lord...for those (me included) who believe that His love is etternal and through his love we will enter the Paradise one day - it´s big appeasement to know that our good actions will be encountered...but that doesn´t mean that I can do lots of sins and than make something good and all the bad will be forgotten (it could be forgiven but not forgotten) ...
I have to say that when I´m praying, I´m not asking my Lord to change his plans, I talk to him, and ask Him to make me strong enough to remain on the right "way" in spite of all the difficulties..I don´t ask to change his intentions - I pray to make me see his plan with me P: (damn it - again my English P: )

now I want to say that all what I´m writing here...well I´m trying to write it according to my Faith...but I´m not an expert, I´m not studying the Bible but I´m writing it according to my feelings...so if I write something what might make someone angry, please forgive me
"forgive those who didn´t ask you to do so...because there´s nothing to be forgiven to those who asked" - my favourite quote P: - again and again my English translation isn´t perfect but I´m trying my best

Lorenzo Celsi 1. December 2008, 19:54

In the catholic Church you go to confess your sins to a priest, you show regret and then you get the forgiving for your sins, the priest speaks in place of God. Because, you know, God has the annoying habit to not answer when you ask him directly...
For the protestants, since there aren't any priests as "mediators" between human kind and God, there isn't any confession and any forgiving for your sins. On top of it, since Luther invented the thing about the salvation through God's grace, there isn't any difference if you commit a sin or not, you can still be saved by God as a sinner or not saved as a saint, upon is mysterious will.

On a side note, Moses was Jew and all the holy books of the Jews aren't meant to non-Jews people, in fact you can see the Jews don't try to convert people to their faith. Our current christian holy books were somehow "stolen" from the Jews without their permission.

Jarka 1. December 2008, 20:26

maybe christian books... were stolen - but I didn´t steal them so ...

yes, that´s true, when you commit any kind of sin you still CAN be saved by God - that´s because He´s almighty. I know nothing about "His annoying habit" - as you call it. He answers all the time, we just don´t listen properly - in fact I received all the answers I needed...God doesn´t speak the same way as we , he express Himself through the signs and also through the others.
In fact the words of priest "our Lord has forgiven you, go in peace" are just a "formality" - because God forgives you in the very moment when you regret your sins. So there´s no particular difference betveen protestants and catholics - we all do some kind of confession and if we REALLY in depth of our heart regret our sins than God forgives us.

If I understood your idea...than according to you - it doesn´t matter if I´m a sinner or saint, if I regret or not...and here comes the moment when I have to say you are wrong. Only those who truely regret their mistakes can join God in his "kingdom" (I´m not talking about any place ).
And that´s the difference.

Now I´ll try to explain my "vision" of Lord´s plan. He has a plan, but in his plan there are no obligation for us. We can decide and do what we want and in His plan there´s no "exact point" where we would come after all. So it´s up to me whether or not I decide to live my life in God. The fact that He has a plan doesn´t mean that we can do whatever we want, it means that he gave us possesion of abilities and possibilities and we have to use them the way we want. That´s why our soul can "come" to heaven...

Jarka 7. December 2008, 17:21

what´s sick? :eyes:

Jarka 7. December 2008, 19:18

I´m sorry but I don´t know what you mean...what´s sick?

Jarka 7. December 2008, 19:44

Martin 7. December 2008, 19:52

tak to uz je cisty debil... by som mu dal rovno ban..

Jarka 7. December 2008, 19:53

why?...if I prayed for myself it would be selfish and that´s not how it works...anyway, I think that other people have bigger problems in their lifes so they need my prayers more than I do

Jarka 7. December 2008, 19:53

Martin! in English please  - only joking  hi love

Martin 7. December 2008, 19:55

hi ya  would you mind coming to instant messaging (preferably gmail, my icq doesn´t seem to work) just for a minute? for me? <3 :D

EDIT: BTW you really are able to be patient with some ignorant & mean people... I I was you I´d start such a flame war... :D respekt ♡♡♡♡♡♡

reeboker 7. December 2008, 20:05

thx 4

Jarka 7. December 2008, 20:06

what does your love for bananas has to do with my post :eyes:

Martin 8. December 2008, 13:35

I still don´t get it... the joke..... and it is already deleted as I see, so now my post with tangerines sounds like I am totally off topic and out of my mind

BTW I suggest you delete all the comments since "what´s sick?" because for a random viewer we don´t make any sense :jester:

Jarka 8. December 2008, 15:00

I´m not going to delete any comments...I decided not to do so because it wouldn´t be fair against everyone...I want to keep them there, because I really mean all I write and so that I don´t need to delete it ( as reebooker did) ...just lets keep them on the place...my readers know I´m crazy a little bit so why should I bother with something like that

Claude 8. December 2008, 17:08

It was hard to me to enter in that blog post! But when I have understood that Jajinka is an Heart woman, I was curious enought! Poor Dennis :frown:
I hope that Christine will find a solution for him, like plastic surgery...
I also read some of the comments here and saw that Dennis started his work in our mind: the sens of life and the existence of God!
That reminds me some books like those about Edgar Cayce, or from Raymond Moody... which give to us an open door to the sens of life.

Also I would like to say that if we feel we are intelligent and think there's no God, so we are illogical!

How the Universe can create an intelligent life like us  if It is only an hazardous machine. How a stupide thing can create an intelligent thing! :ko: There's something wrong, don't you think so?

Jarka 8. December 2008, 19:12

hmmm...REALLY inteligent people are pretty good  and REALLY intelligent people know that God exists...but there are many of those who "feel" intelligent (as you said) and well, what more should I say about them.. - they are not worth of it  still we should keep taking care of them and pray  ...

Martin 8. December 2008, 19:45

I am not asying you should delete posts because of their content, or of their ideas, I was just trying to say that that conversation doesn´t make sense when rebooker deleted his posts

 and sorry for OT  my fault - I am too slow to reply immidiately so this post is somewhat not connected with the most recent ones

Jarka 8. December 2008, 19:50

I have my TOEFL results!!! - I´ve done it!!!! aaaaaaa
