Hi Jajinka--- I must say that your post on Dennis made me smile--- big. You are so right that we love him to pieces. Today I have been going around our house taking very short candid videos of our family and I will post the video later. I appreciate all the prayers for our family and especially Dennis! Can I add you to my bloglist?
Jarka # 30. November 2008, 19:10
of course you can add me to your blog list ...but I´m not sure if I deserve such a honour
to Lorenzo: ...I can´t say why our Lord let him to be born this way...but I believe that it was his intention. His story caught attention of someone and that person told about him to his family who adopted him...that was Gods intention, his great plan...now we can´t say what´s gonna happen in the future but He knows it and all he do is for our best. So I know that Dennis´ family doesn´t have to worry because all what´s happening now is happening for a very good reason.
but, no, I don´t want to talk about religion - I accept your belief...but ...
Lorenzo Celsi # 30. November 2008, 19:51
Looking at things there are two only logical options:
1. there isn't any god and shit happens.
2. God exist and he/she/it is bad.
In case 1. prayers are useless, in case 2. God probably laughs at you.

Hi Lorenzo, I can see how you can look at our precious Dennis and think that there must not be a God. But I can assure you that GOd makes no mistakes and that He is very real. Dennis because of the way that he was born has touched so many lives that would not have otherwise been touched--- including my whole family. We have been forver changed now with a love for each and every person born who may not appear normal to society. But what is normal---- I can look at so many other people who appear normal who are without feelings, without sympathy for precious people like my son, who lust after material things and live their life without meaning. These people are far worse off than my son, who is learning that life is precious and not to be taken for granted. Come visit my blog sometime---- I'd love it!
With all my heart, I believe that Dennis is not suffering.
Hope you have a wonderful week!
God bless,
Jarka # 30. November 2008, 20:15
or you are absolutely wrong and from your human point of view we are all absolutely incapable to understand His plan...and there´s no such thing as "time" for God so at the very begining , at the moment of "birth of our universe" (I don´t know what´s the newest theory of that
Lorenzo Celsi # 30. November 2008, 20:27
I just wish I could do anything for Dennis himself, the little human being that he is. I don't mind of people being touched or God's master plan.
My apologies if I hurt you somehow.
@jajinka1:
I know discussing about faith is pointless because faith is irrational by definition. If any faith makes your life better that's fine with me, besides I guess world would be a better place with less people doing weird things in name of nonsense gods.
Jarka # 30. November 2008, 20:32
I wish you will experience the same feeling as me, one day ...I wish that there was no need of this conversation...I had the similar one with my friend who seemed not to understand what´s all that post about) ...hey people wake up
...I wish ...
Jarka # 30. November 2008, 21:02
well yes, faith is something irrational for those who don´t have it (do not take this personally

What is the PEACE LIGHT from BETHLEHEM?
Right now the only "peace light" that shines over Bethlehem is the laser rangefinder of some israeli tank and peace comes after the boom.

Just in case you wonder what I mean with "hilarious", it is like the Jew shops that sell toilet paper already cut in pieces so people don't have to "work" during the Shabbat.

ja len ze sa teraz citim blbo za to co som napisal o denisovi, ale tak to bolo taka spontanna reakcia ze "fuj, co to ma z okom".....
okej, asi treba najpr citat a rozmyslat a az potom pisat...
sorry jemu aj tebe.....
to Lorenzo: vsak nikto ti nekaze verit v boha, ked nechces nemusis....
ani sa mi len nechce to prekladat....
jarka: ja ta strasne obdivujem ako si stojis za svojim proti tym jeho "logickym" kecom
(toto cháp ako tichú podporu tvojich myslienok co su tu hore napisane

this blog is supposed to be for everyone from all around the world and it´s not fair (and not even polite) to write to my friends and write it in Slovak language because they can´t understand...so please, lets keep this conversation comprehensible for everyone
Martin # 1. December 2008, 16:58
to Lorenzo: you don´t have to believe in god, no one forces you to do it, but you doesn´t have to be mean just because you don´t believe and think you are right... how can you with certainity tell that there is no god? I know, we too, we can´t prove that there is one, but... While we get up early on Sundays and go to church, you can sit at your place and laught at us if you want, I actually do not care.... but I don´t like your certainty, your "logical" reasoning that there is no god. Only god knows if there is a god
Whooops, I did´n mean to get dragged to this
to jarka: you have got my full support for your ideas.... I admire you so much for your patience when trying to explain to the "man of reason/science" why you, "man of faith", believe in god
i should have written woman of faith, but that would have spoiled the metaphor

First of all I don't think to be mean only because I point out the nonsense in your crap (and actually lame) metaphysics.
Lets make an example:
God has got a plan for everything and we can't understand his plan.
Then we have to pray God when shit happens.
What are the prayers for?
Are we traying to convince God to change his/her/its plan?
If so, it means God's plan is wrong, which leads us to the idea of a God that makes mistakes we need to correct.
Otherwise prayers don't make sense because everything that will happen, regardless our prayers, is part of God's perfect plan.
I will give you something else to think of: the protestant reform, among the other things, introduced the idea that man's salvation comes only from the Grace of God, that is pre-defined as part of God's plan and you can't change it whatever you do in your life. This originated as reaction to the catholic tradition of the sin that can be "payed-balanced" by a good action, which at the time of Luther lead the Church to sell the "forgiving" in exchange of money.
Now as homework you meditate on the logical consequence of both ideas, salvation as pre-determined "destiny" and salvation through good behavior. Of course I remember you that God has got a plan for everything.
Like I said, this stuff would be fun if people weren't actually dieing because of it.
Jarka # 1. December 2008, 19:37
I have to say that when I´m praying, I´m not asking my Lord to change his plans, I talk to him, and ask Him to make me strong enough to remain on the right "way" in spite of all the difficulties..I don´t ask to change his intentions - I pray to make me see his plan with me
now I want to say that all what I´m writing here...well I´m trying to write it according to my Faith...but I´m not an expert, I´m not studying the Bible but I´m writing it according to my feelings...so if I write something what might make someone angry, please forgive me
"forgive those who didn´t ask you to do so...because there´s nothing to be forgiven to those who asked" - my favourite quote
Lorenzo Celsi # 1. December 2008, 19:54
For the protestants, since there aren't any priests as "mediators" between human kind and God, there isn't any confession and any forgiving for your sins. On top of it, since Luther invented the thing about the salvation through God's grace, there isn't any difference if you commit a sin or not, you can still be saved by God as a sinner or not saved as a saint, upon is mysterious will.
On a side note, Moses was Jew and all the holy books of the Jews aren't meant to non-Jews people, in fact you can see the Jews don't try to convert people to their faith. Our current christian holy books were somehow "stolen" from the Jews without their permission.
Jarka # 1. December 2008, 20:26
yes, that´s true, when you commit any kind of sin you still CAN be saved by God - that´s because He´s almighty. I know nothing about "His annoying habit" - as you call it. He answers all the time, we just don´t listen properly - in fact I received all the answers I needed...God doesn´t speak the same way as we , he express Himself through the signs and also through the others.
In fact the words of priest "our Lord has forgiven you, go in peace" are just a "formality" - because God forgives you in the very moment when you regret your sins. So there´s no particular difference betveen protestants and catholics - we all do some kind of confession and if we REALLY in depth of our heart regret our sins than God forgives us.
If I understood your idea...than according to you - it doesn´t matter if I´m a sinner or saint, if I regret or not...and here comes the moment when I have to say you are wrong. Only those who truely regret their mistakes can join God in his "kingdom" (I´m not talking about any place ).
And that´s the difference.
Now I´ll try to explain my "vision" of Lord´s plan. He has a plan, but in his plan there are no obligation for us. We can decide and do what we want and in His plan there´s no "exact point" where we would come after all. So it´s up to me whether or not I decide to live my life in God. The fact that He has a plan doesn´t mean that we can do whatever we want, it means that he gave us possesion of abilities and possibilities and we have to use them the way we want. That´s why our soul can "come" to heaven...

I hope that Christine will find a solution for him, like plastic surgery...
I also read some of the comments here and saw that Dennis started his work in our mind: the sens of life and the existence of God!
That reminds me some books like those about Edgar Cayce, or from Raymond Moody... which give to us an open door to the sens of life.
Also I would like to say that if we feel we are intelligent and think there's no God, so we are illogical!
How the Universe can create an intelligent life like us
