a reflection of my real life

Norwegian Hockey

, , , ...

Norway may not be too known for ice-hockey, especially when compared to neighboring countries, Russia, Sweden and Finland.

Nevertheless, our national Team is playing in the Worlds A-Group and is qualified for the 2010 olympics in Vancouver, Canada.

Most of the national Team's players are normally playing for teams in Sweden, Germany, Finland and the US.

Our national league (Get Ligaen) hosts 9 teams this year. Sadly the 10th team was pulled due financial problems.

Above you'll see some of my photos from the last game Frisk Tigers vs. Manglerud Star. Stars won this game (1-4) despite Tigers' reinforcement - the Stanley Cup Trophy winner (Col. Avalance) #11 René Corbet(36).

Summer Houses in Norway

These great summer houses right on the water will give you lots to look at. Grey rocks and "nature beaches" can't beat it.

What's really great is that you can choose which friends see single photos or albums. Some photos and albums can be set to private, while others are public.

Central Oslo

, , , ...

In this album you see the new focus area of Oslo along side the old center with it's old institutions such as the University, Parliament, National Theatre, the Kings residence and City Hall.

The new idea is to collect anything worth looking at into a less than a square mile area right on the water. It's perfect, now tourists will only need to walk max 10-15 minutes in any direction to see it all. Depending on where they come from.

If you only have 2 hours in Oslo? That's no problem at all. 22 minutes (and 160NOK) by train from the Airport is the Central Station.

This means of course that tourists wont wander off and accidentally find the lesser fortunate among us.
Oh, don't worry, you don't have to walk that fare. The drug addicts aren't long gone, although the Nigerian hookers are.

For those of you who haven't been here in a while, you'll see a remarkable difference. Although the central station was rebuilt a long time ago, the area around it is just finished.

TIO! To adapt a slogan from "Blood Diamonds". (This is Oslo)

In this area there will be a brand new Munch Museum, a Library, a bunch of buildings resembling a bar code. No, sorry no bars, but you'll be able to have a beer anywhere else, for the price of TWO.

Villa Malla - a place to go outside Oslo

, , , ...

If you happen to visit Oslo, Villa Malla at Filtvet Fyr is a must. It's a short hour drive from the center of Oslo and it is also accessible by boat.

We went there for brunch on saturday and it was so worth the drive!

Thank you Sonia for a day well spent on the great sun deck. A delicious prepared buffet for NOK 200,- only, is really a baragain.

I love to see photos from places around the world.

Do you have a bunch of photos you could share? Upload here to let people search by TAG, Place and favorites.

If you like to share, you'll easily post to facebook, twitter and MyO.

Small syndicated articles, Sign-ups off the charts.

, , , ...

It's been a while since I've tried a true photo sharing platform that is not made by mashup of elements taking form other services on the web.

Expono is much more richer and it looks like a safe place to store your photos, where you can organize and share picture/album with family & friends. A platform that is built with your privacy, data portability and security in mind.

Small reviews, huge impact! Read the article...

Ultra sound is very cool

, , , ...

What's it gonna be? They all ask. Not sure we say. It doesn't really matter. Main point it's healthy.

Yet, walking in through the hospital doors and getting ready for the ultra sound check we're both excited. What's it gonna be? We ask ourselves.

Seeing the doctor, we're both getting comfy, and she starts the routine check. We're both slightly more interested as the time passes, but we see nothing and she says nothing in regards to what it's gonna be.

Two more months and we'll know!

Kistefos-Museet summer opening 2009

, , , ...

Pølser & Champagne! The annual summer opening at Kistefos-Museet (directions) is the art happening for the financial elite. If you're just an art lover your welcome too, hence hotdogs and champagne.

The Art Park is great with 23 works of artists such as Petroc Sesti, Claes Oldenburg, Anish Kapoor, Fernando Botero, and Bjarne Melgaard. Harry Fetts collection can also be seen.

Travellers to Norway, be advised Kistefos Museet is worth going to, opening day and any other open day. It's just about an hour outside of Oslo.

The ONE insurance they can't sell

, , , ...

They'll stop at nothing and claim your needs for all kinds of things you never heard of. But the one insurance they can't sell, is the one that secures your lost photos. It's just not possible!

So, if you are interested in keeping a hard copy of your memories, then Expono is the place to go.

We're not saying we're alone, but we are pretty confident that you'll be more than happy if you sign up and start saving your photos with us.

One good reason for doing that is the fact that you'll get back, whenever you need to, the exact same photos as you uploaded. Original size and original format.

Even if you need to find only one photo that's like searching for a needle in a haystack. Expono will be faster to help you than any other service.
With flexible ways to describe your photos, meaning by TAGs, by Place, and by People in them you'll find your photos in no time.

You don't have to remember exactly which TAGs you used, or where the photo was shot. We'll present you with a list of TAGs, sized by relative use or show you pins in a map. Hoover over it and see if you recognize the scene or setting.

When you find it, you don't even have to download it to pass it along. Just share your photo with whoever and you'll be free to do what ever else you want to do.

It's a no-brainer, you either do it as soon as possible or regret it for ever.

Do yourself a favor, start securing your memories, the sooner the better.
