Rotating Album from Aarhus

, , , ...

Have a look at Århus, it is really a lovely little town in Denmark. They have clean streets, nice cafés and a great Art Museum, ARoS.

It's not much more to say about it. See the rotating album like you do now or click it to get a fullscreen show. It's pretty cool.

Photo 2009

If you need a new digital SLR, trade shows like the Photo 2009 is good place to start. Although you'll have to pay your entry, that can easily be saved in by the discounts offered on various cameras an accessories.

It's crucial to your happiness that you're 100% convinced that you bought the right camera, and that you get the follow up ever after.

Especially in Norway, the customer guarantees are great. Don't trade it off, on some foreign online shop!

Imagine this renaissance painting by the German painter Lucas Cranach the elder hanging peacefully in Larvik Kirke (state owned public church) one day and just being gone the next.

This particular painting, "let the children come to me", depicts Jesus and a bunch of women coming to him with their small ones.

According to one Blomqvist representative living in the area, the painting is valued US$2.83 Million.

Considering the thefts of the two famous paintings owned by Norwegian city council, "Skrik" (scream) and "Madonna" by Edvard Munch, one would think that securing state and city owned valuables (including art) would have progressed. It seems more like they (state and city governments) consequently secure areas already robbed.

TGIF II: Having that Dry Martini

, , ,

If you ever want to sit in this bar, NOW is the time. Simply because 'now' is high season there and the weather here is so so.

The reason I wanted to show this photo is not so much the nice bar. More so the nice dry martini in my hand.

The guy normally behind the bar, is at this point taking this shot. He's also a karate instructor on Nevis. So watch it. More about the Hermitage here.

It's Friday and I need a shot (espresso)!

The week goes fast when you're having fun.
That being said, I don't think our friends in the my.Opera TEAM had a slow week at all.

In the end, all we should say is BRAVI and Congratulations!!!!!

The best WE can do right now is to kick back for a good 20 minutes and think about what we could be doing, in just a few hours.

Thinking about getting your own espresso machine?

Upload more than 30 photos

One of the limiting factors of My.Opera (MYO) has been the photo uploader. It just took too long getting photos uploaded and ready for use in an album setting.

That being said, the photo by photo uploader probably was (is: as it still exists) fast enough for people who just want to use these photos in blog entries.

Romeo and Juliet

, , , ...

Just came back from the Romeo and Juliet ballet performance at the new Opera in Oslo. What a fantastic and dramatic interpretation. It is a school class setting with class room action, home alone party, jealousy, drinking, the stud, the fool, those invited and those who were not, fights, death, hospital, car accident and suicide. Very macabre, yet done very well.

If you are in Oslo, go see it!

Do you believe this?

, , , ...

Well, if this isn't good news to all of you nicotine slaves out there?

I picked this story up at Dacotah's blog. So scoot right over to read some comments.

Have found it annoying that family, friends and ex-girlfriends just couldn't stop. I am pleased now, to learn that there is hope for them.

Let's face it, it's not that easy, although quite logic, to stop.

Let's give them a helping hand!
