Tampa Bay-based James Landers maintains a long history of founding and leading successful businesses, including several companies focused on real estate development throughout Florida. Currently, James Landers operates as a Founding Partner and Distressed Asset Manager of High Point Development and as a Vice President of Business Development for the National Field Services Group. With the latter business, he provides advice and services in matters of loan restructuring, management and disposition of assets, and equity investing strategies. At the former, Mr. Landers markets a range of property management and maintenance solutions to clients in Florida, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Maryland.
James Landers began his career shortly after completing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance at the University of South Florida. He served as an Account and Sales Manager for the NCR Corporation (formerly known as AT&T Global Information Solutions) from 1992 to 2001. During that time, Mr. Landers consistently exceeded revenue and production goals, ranked in the top percentile of the company’s account managers in terms of sales, and secured and oversaw a high-net account that generated approximately $10 million in revenue in a year. From 1996 to 1998, he founded and managed Total Event Solutions while still working full time at NCR. As Principal and Managing Director of Total Event Solutions, Mr. Landers provided event management and catering to technology companies. After only one year, and before its sale to a regional competitor, the catering business achieved $5 million in sales and consisted of 40-plus employees.
More recently, James Landers established Land Craft Development, which generated gross sales of more than $35 million during its four years in operation. In 2004, he launched High Point Development and began acquiring, developing, and supervising urban infill projects. Prior to focusing on distressed asset management at High Point Development, Mr. Landers coordinated architecture, engineering, construction, and marketing teams as the firm’s President and Managing Partner.
