從第一次聽這首歌到現在已經有將近5年了
記得那時候第一次來台灣
去逛士林夜市
一踏進唱片行就聽到這首
然後不假思索就去櫃檯詢問,買下了上面這張cd
而這首the mummers' dance,陪了我很多個熬夜唸書的晚上

之後cd被朋友借走了
直到最近才從網路上面重新找到
不知不覺又過了這麼多年
希望唱片行還會有這張cd

從 <The sound of Silence>這首歌認識他們
那個年代紅極一時的兩個人
後來因為不理念不合鬧翻了[很熟悉的情節,不是嗎?]
直到2003年,相隔了20年才再一起唱起這首歌

我沒有生在那個戲劇性的60年代
沒有辦法體會那個對太空充滿憧憬
沒有辦法在那個高喊反戰的年代體會出這兩把聲音當時造成的震撼

但是作為七年級前段班的我
既幸運也可悲的我
在慶幸著自己仍然跟得上時代的同時也不斷地被上一個6年級的觀念綑綁
一種屬於過渡時期矛盾
生活中不斷有新東西衝擊
讓我焦慮,讓我困惑,讓我亢奮

混亂中聽到這樣的聲音都會平靜下來
我想有別於那個年代
這首歌對於我自己有不一樣的詮釋
