(actually, sometimes I forget that and make mistakes - sin ... like earlier today I did something in the shower I maybe shouldn't have, but I feel better for it, so maybe it's ok, but I was thinking of someone I'm not married to, so... what it really comes down to is ... do you know JESUS?)

Religions are not attempts to "prove" that a god exists or is beneficial to you. They are philosophies that help people to live in peace and get on with their lives without worrying about "tomorrow".
The difference in Christianity is that a person claimed to be the Son of God, to be equal with God, and to be the only way to eternal life.
What we who believe have is personal proof that overrides any worldly argument. Faith is knowing you are saved. It is not something you can "prove". When we all get to heaven (the last day of judgment) we will all know whether we were wrong or right. Christians know they are right, right now, because they have the healing and empowering Spirit of God within them that guides and directs their lives in a "perfect" and miraculous way. A "forum" on the internet cannot convey that because the spirit doesn't flow except between people. It is only on a one-to-one face-to-face basis that the Holy Spirit is conveyed. That is how God works, Jesus works, and how we are supposed to work.

The interesting thing about that is, Jesus didn't actually sacrifice himself, he let himself be captured, rather than running away, or fighting, or calling down a million angels, etc.
It is God who really killed Jesus, by allowing the Romans to prosper, the Jews to be corrupt, and Judas to betray Jesus. God put the weight of all the sin of the world, past, present, future, on Jesus at the time of his demise. Yet, even then Jesus could have got down off the cross and taken over the world with a wave of his pinky or whatever. He chose to be the sacrifice and give up the ghost so millions and billions could be saved and have eternal life by merely believing in him, rather than being an authoritative dictator that demanded obedience, like Caesar.
So, believing is the key. Once you do that you get all the answers through the Holy Spirit. But first you have to believe. How can you receive an answer from someone you don't even believe exists?
I hope you aren't offended by my beliefs. That is why they call it Christian Apologetics. Defending the faith.

Why do those who claim to be born-again christians have a positive view of christianity and those who do not claim to be born-again have a negative view of christianity?
It is important to read your bible. It is the word of god and is alive with inspiration. It will speak directly to your problems. Just open it and start reading. Flip to any page and start reading. Don't give up because you don't get the answer you are looking for.
Many of you simply do not know what the bible says.
Muslims today, especially radical, fundamentalist muslims, who take the Koran as being literal, DO believe it is their duty and right to kill those who do not immediately convert to islam. 73% of those claiming to be muslim have this literal interpretation. They SUPPORT the radical terrorists while claiming not to. Their law says it is ok to have a treaty for 10 years with infidels in order to build strength to wipe them out. They can break a treaty at any time because we are only infidel dogs, only to be killed. They hate Israel and vow to destroy it. Same with the rest of us. They will not stop till they rule the world.
The funny thing is:
Christianity is ONLY about love forever.

What has the dragon done for you lately?
Me, I got a job, in a Mercy Housing apartment facility for transitional housing residents, families, etc. It is the "perfect" job for me. It allows me to help people with their needs and share the gospel (good news) with them. I could not ask for anything better, in this economy, especially. But more importantly, I am "working" at the best job of them all, saving the lives of people who have no clue about their eternal destiny.
The good news (gospel) is: You don't have to believe all that malarky you have been talking about, like FSM, pink dragons, etc. Evilution, etc. Nonsense. Jesus is all you need. He is love. The only ONLY one to teach about love, that love is the thing, man.
Love is all you need. They are talking about Jesus.

I would prove to you that hell exists by killing you, as you are going to hell already, not being saved. However, as I am saved I cannot do that; my conscience does not allow it, which is the Holy Spirit in me, Christ in me.

And the greatest love is this: that he died for you to live and have eternal life. Ok, replace the word "Power" with "Love", and instead of blowing Mace up (after sucking his life force out), the emporer instead empowers Mace with unlimited Love, so much so that Mace "repents" from killing the emporer and instead they team up and bring love to the galaxy.

Religions are not attempts to "prove" that a god exists or is beneficial to you. They are philosophies that help people to live in peace and get on with their lives without worrying about "tomorrow".
The difference in Christianity is that a person claimed to be the Son of God, to be equal with God, and to be the only way to eternal life.
What we who believe have is personal proof that overrides any worldly argument. Faith is knowing you are saved. It is not something you can "prove". When we all get to heaven (the last day of judgment) we will all know whether we were wrong or right. Christians know they are right, right now, because they have the healing and empowering Spirit of God within them that guides and directs their lives in a "perfect" and miraculous way. A "forum" on the internet cannot convey that because the spirit doesn't flow except between people. It is only on a one-to-one face-to-face basis that the Holy Spirit is conveyed. That is how God works, Jesus works, and how we are supposed to work.

The interesting thing about that is, Jesus didn't actually sacrifice himself, he let himself be captured, rather than running away, or fighting, or calling down a million angels, etc.
It is God who really killed Jesus, by allowing the Romans to prosper, the Jews to be corrupt, and Judas to betray Jesus. God put the weight of all the sin of the world, past, present, future, on Jesus at the time of his demise. Yet, even then Jesus could have got down off the cross and taken over the world with a wave of his pinky or whatever. He chose to be the sacrifice and give up the ghost so millions and billions could be saved and have eternal life by merely believing in him, rather than being an authoritative dictator that demanded obedience, like Caesar.
So, believing is the key. Once you do that you get all the answers through the Holy Spirit. But first you have to believe. How can you receive an answer from someone you don't even believe exists?
I hope you aren't offended by my beliefs. That is why they call it Christian Apologetics. Defending the faith.

Why do those who claim to be born-again christians have a positive view of christianity and those who do not claim to be born-again have a negative view of christianity?
It is important to read your bible. It is the word of god and is alive with inspiration. It will speak directly to your problems. Just open it and start reading. Flip to any page and start reading. Don't give up because you don't get the answer you are looking for.
Many of you simply do not know what the bible says.
Muslims today, especially radical, fundamentalist muslims, who take the Koran as being literal, DO believe it is their duty and right to kill those who do not immediately convert to islam. 73% of those claiming to be muslim have this literal interpretation. They SUPPORT the radical terrorists while claiming not to. Their law says it is ok to have a treaty for 10 years with infidels in order to build strength to wipe them out. They can break a treaty at any time because we are only infidel dogs, only to be killed. They hate Israel and vow to destroy it. Same with the rest of us. They will not stop till they rule the world.
The funny thing is:
Christianity is ONLY about love forever.

What has the dragon done for you lately?
Me, I got a job, in a Mercy Housing apartment facility for transitional housing residents, families, etc. It is the "perfect" job for me. It allows me to help people with their needs and share the gospel (good news) with them. I could not ask for anything better, in this economy, especially. But more importantly, I am "working" at the best job of them all, saving the lives of people who have no clue about their eternal destiny.
The good news (gospel) is: You don't have to believe all that malarky you have been talking about, like FSM, pink dragons, etc. Evilution, etc. Nonsense. Jesus is all you need. He is love. The only ONLY one to teach about love, that love is the thing, man.
Love is all you need. They are talking about Jesus.
What is the proof of people going to hell?

I would prove to you that hell exists by killing you, as you are going to hell already, not being saved. However, as I am saved I cannot do that; my conscience does not allow it, which is the Holy Spirit in me, Christ in me.
What I can do is prove to you that Jesus works, because I choose to NOT kill you, but instead show you love.
And the greatest love is this: that he died for you to live and have eternal life. Without which you are doomed to hell, being born a sinner, in the same manner the animals are born animals, so you are born a lowly animal. The ONLY difference, aside from being able to eat with a fork, is that God gave you a measure of faith and free will so you MIGHT choose to believe in His Son.
As for those who refuse to accept the love of God manifested in His Son, Jesus, Jesus said this:

To clarify, I "would" kill you, just to prove to you there is an afterlife (you might be saved, but i doubt it), BUT!... I can't kill you, because I am saved, have been changed, and want you to experience the love of God that is Jesus. Unlimited love.
Think about the scene in SWIII... the emporer is about to be destroyed by Mace Windu except for Anakin, who stops him. Then, the emporer attacks with the full power of his dark force energy, exclaiming, "Power! Unlimited Power!"
Ok, replace the word "Power" with "Love", and instead of blowing Mace up (after sucking his life force out), the emporer instead empowers Mace with unlimited Love, so much so that Mace "repents" from killing the emporer and instead they team up and bring love to the galaxy.
