My OperaAn August of riding

August started off with a bang. Getting up at 2:45 to drive 190 km to do a 160km ride would not qualify as "normal" to very many people - but for me it was a great experience (Sports-Tracker).
After a hectic week in the office, I met up wit my friend Zairin for a morning ride to Port Dixon. It started out as a nice, cool ride, and we even had a few drops of rain. A bit of heavy traffic was the only problem....until... I ran a flat. OK, since this was my first flat on my road bike - I really can't complain. After an inspection of the tire, I changed the tube and had another flat after 10 minutes. OK, this was getting a bit annoying
. Story cut short, we broke off the ride and called for assistance. Aik Liang came to pick us up, giving us priority over his own grooming session . Thanks a lot!!! Really saved our day - and the breakfast at the local restaurant tasted nice (Sports-Tracker).
The following day I did a quick and easy ride from Gombak to Genting Sempah, riding by myself in the middle of a nice and hot day.
Last weekend started with an early morning ride from Centrepoint Bandar Utama, Sean's Magic Mystery Ride took us up to Kundang, before looping back via the Guthrie Highway ending up with a well deserved mocha and muffin at Starbucks (Sports-Tracker)
The following day was time for my 3rd of my top 4 list of mountains to climb here in Malaysia. Got up at 05:00 to meet up with the other guys driving up to Tapah. from there it's a 60 kilometer climb up to Beringchang in Cameron Highlands through scenic rain forest and small towns (Sports-Tracker).
Just finished off another early morning ride today, going from Sri Hartamas to Genting Sempah. Another nice ride up the old road from Gombak to the gap, and back home.
