Scary

I just finished off the first really good exercise in several weeks. 3.100 meters of swimming before 35 minutes on bike... That means I'm short only of 700 meters of swimming, 180 kilometers of cycling and an entire marathon.... What is almost as scary as the news that Petter Solberg might drive a Proton (!!!!!) in WRC is the Ironman rules for the Marathon;
"RUN
Course length- 26.2 Miles / 42.2 KM
MARATHON CUTOFF- 17 HOURS AFTER START OF RACE.
* No form of locomotion other than running, walking or crawling is allowed." Reassuring, if my legs are no more functioning, I could always crawl the rest of the distance....
Back to Petter and the Proton - I think I stand a better chance of finishing the Ironman in less than 12 hours than Petter taking a WRC title in a Proton. Not that I have anything against Protons other than riding the Wira's and Saga's to and from the office every day.......... I really don't think these cars are meant for speed, traction or rough surfaces.
