![]() | For those of you that either code, develop or just
use web services, what is your preference of versions? Don't forget that Opera uses a lot of Web 5.0 applications through "Unite" |
Ok. So I've seen a lot of bio's with "Web 2.0 enthusiast". We all know that Opera with it's "Unite" features offers Web 5.0 functionality. (A little about 'Web Stories' : Web 2.0, Web 3.0, Web 4.0...Web 8.0) on MSDN blogs.
As a developer, which do you prefer? I mean, using a feature rich version is one thing, developing or coding in it is another. What do you prefer, and why?
ME:
I much prefer Web 2.0 for developing as well as usage. I'm still waiting to see how Web 5.0 usage and development will turn out in the long run. If I want a web-server, I'll use one and dedicate it for specific tasks/functions/services. I'm not sure that I want to tax or expose my personal PC to the web to offer services direct. Sounds cost effective though.
Opera demonstrates 'Web 5.0'
I guess really this should be about Opera Unite more than just "prefer"
