Allow me to present myself.

If I had to choose, I would say that it is a state of mind. So I have decided (some 25 years ago) to be 27 years young which seems enough in order to be serious when it is necessary but not yet enough to take oneself too seriously.

My main centers of interest include (in no particular order): Internet (and informatics); science-fiction (and in particular uchronia, aka alternate history); movies; history (Fernand Braudel; Immanuel Wallerstein); the good eating (and wines); current events (from Irak to Website design); and all of which he could be of interest for you to discuss.

I live in Sudbury, a city of 100.000 inhabitants in the North of Ontario, Canada.

Single. Eldest of 3 sons, I was born in 1949: my younger brother lives in Quebec city; the other in Montreal.

I was born in Québec city and raised in Plessisville, Maple syrup capital in the Eastern Townships. I have lived in Northern Ontario since October 1979, I reside in Sudbury since May 1991.

My work

From october 1979 to december 2004, I worked as a consulting librarian in a service of regional support for the public libraries in the North of Ontario. I had the responsibility for the services in French language.
