HORST P. HORST did a very daring job in the 1950s....

what a wonderful group of images you got here Jurjen ! !

ANDREW MOORE and shoes!
what a stellar picture this is!
I know Zaphira will flip for it as I did!

New York City did not change much in some areas .... I compare then and now in images.....

tell me if it is OK to add here pics of NYC in 2010 smile

photographer: Yannis (my first born)he somehow has an eye for memorable images happy

Magsintothedeep Monday, October 11, 2010 2:10:55 AM

Very nice up

But I would not pay those prices even if I had that kind of cash to spend. faint

rania.h.qasemraniakasim Monday, October 11, 2010 9:13:38 AM

i think if i had the money , i would by the second one

Jurjenjekav Monday, October 11, 2010 5:53:05 PM

@Conor, the second one is indeed great with all the mist and smoke, I like it too! smile

@Angeliki: Yes, I guess Horst it was daring for the time. I thought you would like the shoes picture, so predictable! p
Of course its more than okay to add pictures. At least with me it is, you should also ask the photographer of course wink
I'd love to see them!

@Mags: I agree, I never understand these prices neither. It's the fact it could be reproduced very easy which doesn't make it feel as the real artwork you own. Often there is a series of several prints too. For a painting it feel much more as if its worth it. Weird, because I do appreciate the artistic values of the pictures...

@Rania: Wow, NY 42nd street is popular! It sure is a nice one up

You should be proud, very nice pictures! up
The second fascinates me, I guess it's the mysterious light and the movement of the pigeon. I like it, nice smile

Please pass on to him my sincere compliments!

MConor Monday, October 11, 2010 7:39:09 PM

I like the first and third one... if the Pigeon was clear, the second one would be a one in a million shot smile

Jurjenjekav Monday, October 11, 2010 7:48:51 PM

What is that, another insect attacking the butterfly? lol

I love it when it's done right, it creates a dynamic image, you see the movement up

lol

actually the image was taken at the Queens Botanical garden. A garden with 386263748585896 thousand of flowers in this case , the bee was running to take place on this flower before the butterfly lol

Jurjenjekav Monday, October 11, 2010 8:36:37 PM

386263748585896 thousand of flowers, but they both had to have the same one! doh lol

Magsintothedeep Tuesday, October 12, 2010 12:57:12 AM

Amazing! Looks almost like my shoe closet... p

Cool photos, I really like them. up

Jurjenjekav Tuesday, November 2, 2010 8:39:10 PM

lol
I'm sure you keep your shoes more neatly. At least you should since they are so dear to you smile

Glad you liked the photos, but I'm sorry to disappoint you, the auction has been held, so you can't bid on them anymore sad

KittyliciousZaphira Wednesday, November 3, 2010 5:10:44 AM

My shoes are all stored in boxes, so you're quite right. bigsmile That makes them easier to find and also make them stay fit longer. up

I wouldn't have bid on the photos anyway - I have my own photos on my walls, so that the auction is over isn't a problem, really. bigsmile

Jurjenjekav Wednesday, November 3, 2010 8:29:53 PM

Easier to find? Do you label your boxes? I have shoes in boxes, but I often have no clue which shoes are in which boxes lol

Of course you have your own pictures! Just as nice/nicer and much cheaper. Yes, you are a smart kitty! smile

KittyliciousZaphira Wednesday, November 3, 2010 9:20:13 PM

Ha, no, I don't label my boxes, but my shoes are a lot of different brands, so I know what's in the boxes by looking at it. bigsmile

Nicer and cheaper is good, especially when the two are combined. And it's actually nice to look at own photos every day. happy

Jurjenjekav Thursday, November 4, 2010 5:13:17 PM

I'm sure it is! up
