About me

Hi, my name is Jerome, I come from the South Island (Mainland) of, New Zealand (AOTEAROA). Gay, Christian male who suffered TBI (Traumatic Brian Injuries) result of near fatal motor accident 1970. I had to teach myself to walk, talk, read, write and basic living skills. Sport became a null option and all of my friends have moved on. Once I returned to work and moved into a flat, even my family became strangers.

I no longer work or drive a car but enjoy riding my bicycle, unicycles, wearing a kilt, cooking, baking my own bread, Internet chat and the simple life. Currently I am teaching myself about computers and the Linux Operating System. I teach English to Vietnamese University students and am studying at Te Wananga o Aotearoa ki Otautahi. Graduated Te Ara Reo Maori 2007, Currently (2009) studying Tihei Mauri Ora.

My work

Originally trained as an Electrician. I later worked as a Signals Maintainer & Maintenance Electrician for New Zealand Government Railways. Retired from Railways 1987, and as result of accident related medical problems, I am now unable to work.

  • Food I like:Healthy homegrown vegetables, fresh fish and lean meat.
  • I don't like:Take-aways, processed foods or meals out of a can.
