Ear Piercing Infection Treatment
Any piercing always has a risk of getting infection so do ear piercing. This has been made some people worry about. Therefore, It can’t be over stressed how important to know about ear piercing infection treatment before it spreads and causing greater pain and discomfort. In some cases, the treatment can be done easily and so to prevent further damage. The general step of ear piecing infection treatment is as follow.

Always ask the piercer who perform your piercing for an aftercare guide once the piercing has been done. Strictly follow the aftercare instruction that is outlined. They might have specific instructions on how to treat your ear after a piercing has been done.

As long as you can, stay away from touching by hand on your new piercing unless they have been washed or properly sanitized. Identify the exact places where the ear piercing has been done. It will either be in your ear lobe or the cartridge. Your piercing is generally infected as normal swelling, redness, hurt, bump and irritation.

Get a solution which consists of 1/8 teaspoon non-iodized salt in a cup of warm distilled water. Have a sterile cotton ball, dip it into the solution, and apply it to your ear. Take ten minutes to complete this process, do it once or twice a day. However do not perform this treatment more than recommended, because it may actually make the infection worse.

Keep watching your ear to make sure your infection does not get worse. Keep in mind that if your ear is still hurt, red or emits a discharge, you still always need to consult a physician. By then, your physician will prescribe antibiotics to help heal the infection. Do not delay treatment to an infection as it could result in further damage to your ear.

While you are waiting for your ear piercing to be completely healed up, always use a surgical stainless steel post type of earrings in your ear. This will help to prevent an allergic reaction from occurring. In some cases, your ear might give a negative reaction to nickel or gold. But, make sure that you do not have any metallic allergies before doing so.
