Studying a book like 'Representation Theory' needs several rounds, I suppose. I leave chapters 1 (Representation of Finite Groups) and 2 (Characters) for what they are. For now anyway. I'll continue with chapter 3 ( Examples; Induced Representations; Group Algebras; Real Representations). The chapter ( 'Lecture' ) starts with two examples: S_5 and A_5. I'll try to create them myself first. It's not that difficult once you understand the mechanics and it's kind of fun.
My 'method' of calculating character tables fails on S5. So... Let go. Move on. Come back later. I'll draft a new plan.
