I spent most of the weekend on RT. After I made a diagram of what I actually studied I felt more confident than before. I understand the big picture. Groups, Irreducible Representations, Character Tables, the basics. I worked my way through all the lecture notes I found. The notes from Andrew Baker were an eye-opener. My plans are to completely analyze a few non-abelian small groups, of say orders 16, 24 and 32 of the semi-direct product type. The analysis includes the Character Tables of course. Will see how that goes.
