... grabbing all those Lecture Notes?! As far as mathematics is concerned I am a complete outsider. I haven't had a math lesson in my entire life. In order to get an idea of how representation theory is taught I browse through these notes. It gives me somewhat of a background when I read the book.
More notes...: Pavel Etingof... and a bunch of his students gave same special introductory lectures about Representation Theory. ( The lecture were for interested high school students. ) The lecture notes are [ here ], in .pdf format. ( Thanks. )
I found more lecture notes on Bob Howlett's teaching page.
The entry on Representation Theory clearly shows the difference between
- Mathworld ,
- Planet Math and
- Wikipedia .
I couldn't do without one of them though.
